5 Stars to staff! We absolutely love the Moorings property and stuff. We are from America and stay there every time we visit Scotland as we have friends and family in the area. The staff is superior and we have never felt more welcome. They go above and beyond for all of their guests. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated in modern motif. The food is 5 star, as well. The hotel is in walking distance of the town center, pubs, train station and restaurants.

We checked in late and staff were very courteous and polite throughout. We were given a disabled room with pull cords and handrails which was spacious and well appointed. However, the shower didn't drain, and the toilet was wobbly as the bolts attached to the floor had rusted through. This needs urgent addressing in a disabled room. The pre-booked breakfast was very tasty but after checking in with waiters we waited 30 mins. We enquired where our breakfast was and it then turned up 5 mins later with the wrong items. We waited another 20 mins for the missing items, while others were getting served, before giving up as we were now late for an engagement. It is a nice hotel, with good food, and really nice staff. I suspect we may have got unlucky with our experience but worth knowing.
