牛仔背包客旅館(Backpacker Cowies)

My stay at Backpackers was great. It was in a perfect location for reaching sights easily. There is great shopping, restaurants and the Gateway within steps. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I booked a private room and was very happy with the accommodation. It had a private bathroom. A/C and Wi-Fi both worked well. Will stay here again.

I stayed here as a female solo traveller and they seem to arrange girls to be in a same room which felt pretty safe.

Great for solo traveller

Mein ***n und ich haben hier 3 Nächte in einem separaten Doppelzimmer verbracht. Die Lage des Hotels ist zentral. Das Gateway of India und die „Pub Street“ sind sehr gut erreichbar. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Der Rezeptionsbereich ist gut klimatisiert. Die Flure zu den Zimmern sind nicht klimatisiert. Unser Zimmer hatte eine eigene Klimaanlage, die gut funktionierte. Unser ca. 16 Quadratmeter großes Zimmer hatte kein einziges Fenster und es war so zugestellt, dass *** sich geradeso bewegen konnte. Das Bett war hart. Wir konnten keine Nacht vernünftig durchschlafen, weil unser Zimmer gegenüber vom offenen Badezimmer für die Bewohner der Schlafsäle lag. Da die Schallisolierung nicht so gut ist, hat *** einfach alles gehört. Die Sauberkeit war ok. Einen Haarföhn gibt es in diesem Hotel nicht. Wir sind wirklich nur zum Schlafen ins Hostel. Für diejenigen, die nur einen günstigen Schlafplatz suchen ist es perfekt. Wenn *** etwas zum Wohlfühlen sucht, sollte *** es eher nicht besuchen.

Equipe amistosa, sorridente e claro com o característico stress do inglês da Índia; Localização muito boa, pertinho do Portão da Índia; Quarto amplo com um pé direito bem alto; Cama confortável e enxoval honesto; Banheiro limpinho e cheiroso que parece a casa da mamãe; Oferece um bom serviço de lavanderia por $340,00 rúpias (~USD 4,00-verão o 2023) e as roupas vem tão cheirosas 🤩, - Precisa colocar o letreiro mais visível, a placa do Garage Pub praticamente encobre-o; E não tem cortinas de privacidade na cápsula.

We really enjoyed oure stay in Backpacker Cowies. It's a mix of hotel and a hostel. One can stay in a private room (with a shower and a/c) or in a shared dorm. We opted for the former. Room wasn't spacious but sufficed our needs. Bedsheets were clean, bathroom could have been cleaner but it still was ok. The hotel provides also quite a spacious shared space and the rooftop where one can chill in the evenings. The hotel is located close to the Gateway of India monument and other points of interest in the city. Quite cheap considering Mumbai prices.

Hello I am writing this to warn of the issues I experienced at Cowies! The staff are rude unhelpful and the location is far from marine drive. The beds have big bug problems as other reviews have stated and prepare to itch and feel the crawl. I am a disabled veteran with a broken hand and had issues getting proper accommodation or a response from staff . I was beaten out of a dollar for a towel when my first one had feces on it and was wet :( I really wanted to enjoy my stay here , BUT the staff the unhygienic bathrooms and beds ruined it . I never received co****sation for my time or money. I plan on having a YouTube video to showcase these major issues as it’s dangerous to be in a in an infected bed. The vibe the staff gives they don’t care as long they get paid and that’s the only reason why I wrote this review I feel worthless to them.

Our airport taxi had trouble locating it but once you know the area it’s not hard. It’s just a min away from shops and cafes yet quiet. It’s well organised with electronic key cards, it has a lift, a kitchenette stocked with plates, cups snd spoons, and provides free tea/coffee/ biscuits, and a fridge. The lounge area has a tv, games and books, with plenty of seating. There is a laundry service but it’s not ironed. I chose a 6 bed female dorm for my stay, the room was more spacious than some I’ve stayed in, comfortable beds, a lovely en-suite bathroom, AC and a fan. On the negative side - is the need for drawers (not deep cupboards) for personal belongings, ***** with curtains (as some dorms provide) and a shelf (inside the bunk) for glasses, phone or book etc. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and I’d book them again.

I enjoyed my stay here. I stayed in the single room, which was very spacious and clean. The bed was really comfortable, and the staff was very nice and helpful. I felt really safe there as a solo female traveler. I have one complaint about a smell in the bathroom that came from time to time. Otherwise, highly recommended.
