Sambora… un joyau de l’hôtellerie pour ceux qui vont au parc national des volcans!!! Le lodge est superbe, les chambres très belle avec cheminées, le jardin magnifique! Le chef nous a servi d’excellent repas signent de tables étoilées européennes, le staff est juste ADORABLE et si professionnel!!! Brenda et Christine sont 2 perles rares, tant par leur gentillesse leur sourire et leur serviabilité! Mon dernier mot ira à la masseuse!!!! Si j’avais pu rester 1 h de plus entre ses mains je n’aurai pas hésité!

Very nice large accommodations. Wood burning fireplace in our room was a bonus. Our hosts Christine and Aliah made our stay special and the attentiveness of Bonheur serving Chef Levocate’s awesome food topped the cake! Would definitely recommend to stay here. Location was also really good!

I can only say wonderful things about this property. First, the location is excellent and that it is very close to volcano national park. You are welcomed to a tribal dance, and performance, fresh drink and a warm welcome as you anre brought into a cosy reception area, which is more like a living room dining room area while we got briefed. There are not very many rooms here, maybe seven, but they are exquisitely decorated with all the amenities you could need. they will stock the mini bar with whatever you wish and they have snacks and a coffee bar and beautiful toiletries. A highlight is the fireplace in the room that they will light for you anytime you want. The beds are extremely comfortable as are the pillows. The meals are communal, but you don’t have to go at a certain time. You just might end up sitting with other guests ,which is part of the atmosphere of sharing your stories of gorilla trekking. We met some lovely people during our stay. The staff are extremely accommodating and go above and beyond with service. every morning they put your gaiters on for you, that they provide for tracking and when you come home, they take your boots away and they clean them and they come back better than new! no exaggeration !every time you come back to the lodge also they have the dance performances. Our room had a huge bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower and a lovely seating area outside which we didn’t even have time to utilize I would highly recommend this lodge for your gorilla tracking. Oh, I didn’t mention the food, the food was exceptional.

Fantastic service that was so friendly with incredible attention to detail. Your glass will never be empty. Something asked for on one day will be remembered the next time. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Every night, there’s a hot water bottle between the sheets.
