Our visit to Amarembo in Kinigi, Rwanda was exceptional. The grounds are lush and beautiful and our accommodations were so very comfortable. Who knew that sleeping in a grass hut could be so exquisite? No detail is left to chance and the staff was always ready with a smile to help with whatever you need, often before you could ask! We stayed to see the gorillas in Volcanoes National Park and that was a journey that will be remembered forever. Our meals were well prepared and tasty, I especially enjoyed the soups with fresh bread. The fresh fruit juices were amazing too. Simply a beautiful place.

This hotel was a brilliant experience. You feel like you are staying in a garden surrounded by beautiful flowers and the songs of various birds. The rooms are luxurious, with a natural feel that complements the atmosphere of the hotel. But it is the staff that really makes this place stand apart. Innocent and Peter made us feel at home. They were friendly and welcoming. Taking the time to chat with us and answer all our questions about Rwanda. If you go there please high five them for me, they are what made our stay especially memorable.

Incredible lodge with amazing people looking after it. Jocelyn, Winnie and Francis were very welcoming to us and accommodated our schedule and some vehicle issues we had. The rooms are impeccable and the food delicious. We could not recommend this more as a place to stay. The architecture and decor are also really cool and there are many surrounding activities beyond gorilla trekking too.

The rooms are cute. Unfortunately for us in our 2 nights stay the water in the shower was mostly cold and went out twice. We returned from the monkey tour and couldn’t shower for an hour as they water supply in the entire lodge was out. Same happened the following morning. The food was a real letdown as well, every meal ordered took over an hour to turn up and the quality was unfortunately poor. On our last day they put a sign to say hotel was changing over management. Perhaps this would explain the obvious lack of care the staff had. The heated blankets and coal fire was a nice touch in the evenings however it didn’t make up for the rest of the facility being poor especially for the amount you pay to stay there. Another thing I found quite unsavoury, they really force you to sit and watch a ‘welcome dance’ then the dancers keep talking you into how desperately they need tips to keep going. I found this really uncomfortable

A small and friendly lodge, the ideal base for Gorilla trekking. It has 6 very comfortable dome huts set in beautiful gardens with a refreshing pool. Excellent service, good food and a relaxed atmosphere made our stay perfect. We can highly recommended it.
