Beautiful hotel, great location. Very very friendly staff, especially at breakfast in the morning. You could not be served by a nicer group of people. Don't let the guy at reception tell you that you are not allowed to bring a car you rented in Athens to Mykonos. Perhaps he is new and doesn't know or perhaps he was trying to sell us their own transport service. We will never know. Here's a quote from his email, you may judge yourself : In reference to your inquiry kindly be advised that if you rent a car from Athens the rental company does not allow to bring the car to Mykonos and vice versa. Moreover, , be kindly advised that our hotel provides transfer service... While we were there, there was some construction going on in the area, which created a noisy environment during the day, but I am certain that this won't be forever. Great, well furnished, clean rooms with lovely views, depending on the one you are given, of course. Please do not exclaim enthusiastically : oh look there is even coffee in the room (as they charge you 2.5 euro per Nespresso pod when you pay your final bill). If you are a coffee lover, bring your own pods because you may at first think it is complimentary in a place called Archipelago Luxury 5 star Boutique hotel, member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the world group. Also nowhere do they visibly mention it is not. I have stayed in small hotels run by families where they kindly offer instant coffee and a kettle totally free of charge, just because they want to be nice. Not in this small luxury hotel of the world. Water is free, but only the one bottle on the day of your arrival. Your next bottle will cost you a fortune. A 1,5 liter bottle of mineral water in a supermarket is only 30 cents, so stock up ! Try to have a car, as a taxi to and from Mykonos town will cost you about 70 euros. They have ample parking on site. Also, there aren't too many dining options around other than the hotel and they seem to know this very well. The food is quite nice, but extremely overpriced. We paid an enormous amount of money for a desert that consisted of one small profiterole on a very very large plate. They do a great breakfast buffet in the morning. We very much enjoyed that. Didn't order any of the spa trea**ents, as we were too busy recovering from a heart attack when we saw the price list. Again, if you have a car, there are options around you can enjoy without having to mortgage your house or inherit first. To sum up : we had a great time, but it came at a cost.
