Ich war nach einem Lauftrainingscamp in Iten noch für einige Tage im Windsor. Die Annehmlichkeiten wie der Pool, das Dampfbad, das Gym und vor allem die hauseigene, bewachte Laufstrecke machten weitere Trainingstage erfolgreich. Tolle Zimmer, fantastisches sehr gutes Frühstück und die gelebte Gastfreundschaft des Hauses waren überragend. Ich fühlte mich jederzeit willkommen und die freundliche Unterstützung der Mitarbeitenden bei Fragen waren vorbildlich. Insbesondere die Kollegen der Bewachung (bei den Kollegen durfte ich z. B. mein Equipment für meine Läufe lagern) und Concierge Nicholas haben nachhaltigen Eindruck hinterlassen. Jeder war super freundlich und bemüht den Aufenthalt noch ein bisschen angenehmer zu machen, als er eh' schon war. Ich bin begeistert und komme mit Sicherheit wieder. Toll geführtes Hotel. :-)

Came for breakfast, quality of food and service is to say the least delusional bad quality slow service . Sat for long with out being served had to wave someone down to take my order The food - breakfast took a long time and when it came all mixed up. Positively the waitress was kind and open to feedback

at first glance the property gas character and is charming. Within minutes you realise the service is disastrous and the property is poorly managed. Check in took 45 minutes and no one else was checking in at the same time. Ordered food from the menu and it took 1.15 minutes to arrive, after numerous complaints. Food was cold and disappointing, as well as undercooked fish. Changed room as it was so noisy: staff outside at 6am talking loudly, floors are thin and you hear everything above. Mattress was extremely hard, awful. I left a laptop charger in my room and no-one contacted me or followed up...unacceptable. The staff in this hotel as so poorly trained and disinterested. Especially reception staff.

Rooms are very nice and clean. Bed is comfortable and easy to sleep in. Hot water arrives very quickly during the day, but is a bit slow if you are the first one up on your plumbing run in the morning. Internet in the room is completely unreliable. I was there for a conference and could not get some of my work done until I used a colleague's cell phone as a hotspot. No internet also means the phones in the room are not working either since they rely on the same system. Breakfast is included and the buffet is good. Evening buffet ends at 20:00, with only the a la carte menu available after that. One electric outlet in my room needed to be replaced because a plug would not stay in. An extension ***** of plugs was so worn it was shorting out. Conference was held in a tent on the other side of the golf course from the main hotel. Conclusion: A nice place to go and get away or attend a day meeting, but for a multi-day meeting there should be better locations.

For a first experience I booked a deluxe room but I ended up sleeping on a cottage. I asked to change but they just ignored my request and never apologize for that. The environment is good but the staff is poorly trained to deliver great quality service, food is not good for the price I paid, old TV in the rooms. I will definitely never come back to pay $241.3 a night to sleep with mosquitos, that's a price for Radisson Blue, Polana Hotel or Southern Sun in Mozambique.

The place was beautiful yet the people were very rude and discriminatory, I was stopped at the entrance for almost thirty minutes explaining why I should enter and have a meal there. I am a Muslim young lady and we were there to celebrate the graduation party of my friend. We were treated very unkindly by the security guards. I had to call the management and yet I still had to explain why I was there. After a long wait is when I was allowed to enter, however the staff were kind and helpful. In overall I was in a very uncomfortable situation, I was excited about the fact that I would be in a beautiful environment where I would be welcomed and not treated like a burden. On top of that, I was harassed by an old man who was walking around often, staring rudely at me as I was taking pictures with my friends, this man abused me verbally and told me to stay out while locking the door of the corridor I was taking the pictures… my experience here had utterly ruined my night and my friend’s night.. I couldn’t even enjoy my dinner because of how I felt. Please try to understand we are humans too and we have rights to enjoy ourselves anywhere too. Thank you

We had a wonderful evening recently that started with drinks on the outside patio which overlooked the picturesque surroundings. It was so relaxing and enjoyable sitting out there admiring the scenery and watching a little golf. Later we moved to the lavish dining room where we had a lovely meal with very good service. Staff super friendly. We will return.

Spending a weekend at Windsor Hotel was a most memorable experience for myself, my wife and our friends - two couples. We received exemplary services from all staff members. We were received with a bottle of wine and a gift hamper. The meals were delicious and they have a world class menu. The accommodation facilities were amazing and the environment very serene and clean. The jogging lane made our morning jog a breeze, with birds tunes filling the air. We loved it here at Windsor Hotel. Looking forward for another visit with my entire family. Thank you Windsor!

When we checked in the WC was filthy and some lights in the room weren't working. The room was uncomfortably hot at night and there is no air circulation possible. We couldn't open the French window because a marquee had been set up just a few metres outside it totally blocking the view, and because of the mosquitoes. The wi-fi service was iffy and often wasn't available in the room. The setting is beautiful so it is a pity that the stay has to be so uncomfortable. You get the unfortunate feeling that the management doesn't care because some things like a pedestal fan are easy to install. Similarly it doesn't take much to make sure the bathroom isn't yucky or that the lights are working.

I am writing a very mixed review on Windsor and honestly I hope that ownership reads this as the issues really have more to do with investment in the hotel rather that what staff can control. In a nutshell, Windsor needs major reinvestment or the owners should sell it and let the purchasers do it. It is currently teetering on the "3" mark in my opinion, but could easily be a 4-5 star property with appropriate action. On the other hand, they are sliding towards a very low ranking as things stand now. The location and uniqueness of the place is terrific. We played golf and loved the course and especially the caddies. The hotel staff were so friendly and outgoing that you felt bad for them when they had to repeatedly come to the table, at every meal, and explain that they were out of whatever we had ordered. My last night there I had to order three times until they had something in stock on the menu. Any chef who knows what she or he is doing will line up the servers before a meal and go over the specials of the day and also what items are "86'ed"...meaning they don't have. Not so at Windsor. We had a two bedroom cottage on the golf course which could easily fetch $800+US at a high-end property. Instead the place had old shabby furniture and drapes, a TV in the living room that wasn't even hooked up, a coffee pot but they forgot all of the coffee and tea to go with it and no lights...the living room literally had no floor or table lights, so you couldn't even use it at night. The room service menus were so old that the hotel attendant had no idea what we were talking about when we called to place orders. Again, I want to note how nice the staff were and what a spectacular setting this hotel lies within. I just hope that ownership will get their act together and decide to get serious or get out of the business. This place is a real gem that with investment, could quickly shine again.

Nicely kept home away from home.. Very clean with a Well Maintained Golf course. Staff are very supportive with variety of meals served for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Hotel is located within the suburbs of Nairobi in Kiambu county.

Das Hotel stellt sich als eine der schönsten Golfanlagen in ganz Afrika vor. Das ist völlig übertrieben. Der Platz ist gut, die Pflege ok. Die Driving Range ist mangelhaft und teuer. Die Zimmer sind in englischem Standard. Das Personal könnte noch besser geschult werden. Die Menuekarte hat kaum Speisen darauf und ist viel zu teuer. Die Qualität des Essens stimmt nicht. Wenn der Preis stimmen würde, könnte man über alles hinwegsehen.

I come here for business, a few days twice a year. This time was no exception - excellent service, very polite staff, very accommodating in terms of any requests made, and above all, FRIENDLY The setting is impressive (and even though I don't play golf I can see the attraction) Really well placed for a visit to Nairobi too

It is a lovely place with lovely staff.The terrace is very good for breakfast and The place is good for a sundowner.If you have a conference, Windsor is definately the place to be.Golfing enthusiast? Their green is unmatched. Absolute five star standards in every way.
