Mercure Nanjing South Railway Station

What a pleasant surprise this stay was! The hotel has a simple yet refined style, creating a wonderful atmosphere. From the moment I arrived at the front desk, I experienced attentive service, and check-in was very quick. The room was meticulously cleaned, with great attention to detail. It was bright, airy, and wonderfully quiet. The bedding was incredibly comfortable – perfect for relaxing after a busy day. There was no unnecessary noise, and everything was spotless and refreshing. It's clear that the hotel owner prioritizes quality and guest experience. A truly comfortable and enjoyable stay, I highly recommend it to anyone traveling.

I've always stayed at HUAZHU hotels, and I've stayed at many in Nanjing, but this is the first time I've had to write a negative review. I checked in around 10 PM. After being in the room for a while, I discovered a very large bug – it was terrifying, slowly crawling and even going up the wall. I called the front desk, and they said they'd send someone right away, but after waiting almost 10 minutes, no one showed up. I had to go down to the front desk myself to complain. The front desk offered to move me to the largest room (I repeatedly emphasized that size didn't matter at all; what mattered was no bugs, and if they couldn't guarantee that, I would simply find another hotel). Upon entering the new room, there was an extremely strong smell of insecticide, clearly having been sprayed heavily recently. I wonder, is it safe for people to stay in a room immediately after a large amount of insecticide has been sprayed? The insecticide you're using must be the common, very strong-smelling kind. This clearly shows an issue with the hotel's contingency plans and handling procedures. However, it was nearly midnight, and I was exhausted from the day and too tired to deal with more hassle. I also told the front desk that I would turn on the ventilation, and if the insecticide smell didn't dissipate, I would directly switch hotels. So, I set the air conditioning fan speed to maximum, and it took over half an hour for the insecticide smell to mostly disappear. In the new room, there was a clump of hair on the floor near the wall (not cleaned properly; I've uploaded a picture). From a distance, it looked very much like a bug, scaring me again. Such obvious cleaning issues are unacceptable. The wall above the partition between the bathroom and shower in the new room also had paint peeling off, with a risk of it falling. The front desk apologized at checkout the next day and gave me a 'souvenir' – a bottle of Coke, a bottle of Fanta, a bottle of mineral water, plus a small box of shower gel and shampoo. I personally suggest that the 'souvenir' could be improved in the future; at least don't make it feel like you just rummaged through the storeroom for some random items. Nonetheless, the front desk and staff on duty that day were all very friendly, and I need to acknowledge that.

I've stayed here several times now. The hotel is clean, the service is great, and the laundry facilities are well-equipped. Highly recommended!

My stay at Mercure Nanjing Baijia Lake was absolutely fantastic! The location is super convenient for getting around, and there are plenty of amenities nearby. The room was spotless, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, check-in was efficient, and they patiently answered all my questions. The hotel's overall ambiance is elegant, and the facilities are well-maintained. It offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit. Highly recommend!

I've stayed here multiple times. The rooms are well-equipped and very clean, which gives me peace of mind. The staff at the front desk, both the young men and women, are very welcoming. Recently, the Super League has been playing, and Aitao even has a big screen showing live broadcasts, which is really great. Highly recommend!

Location: About a ten-minute drive from the South Railway Station, and close to the industrial parks in Jiangning. The surrounding area has plenty of businesses, so you'll have no trouble finding food options. Room: The decor is simple yet elegant, with light gray walls and warm yellow LED strips, creating a cozy and un-cramped atmosphere. The sofa and desk are well-arranged, leaving ample space to move around. Experience: The bedding is soft, and the soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a great night's sleep. Toiletries are comprehensive, and the hot water supply is stable. The front desk is spacious and comfortable, and the service staff are friendly. Overall, it offers great value for money and is very suitable for business travel.
