肯辛頓酒店(Hotel Kensington)

Great break from a month of communal dorm living at this hotel. Booked last minute so more than I had been paying but nice to have own room and own ensuite facilities. Super efficient check in. Very clean and quiet. Simple room, didnt try TV. Wonderful hot and strong shower. Supermarket and transport nearby. Only major downside was distance from Ferroll - hotel really is in Xubia, so some distance away although still handy if doing the camino inglese. Figured if I'd walked once into Ferroll from the hotel that covered my first part of the Camino.

This was our first night on the walk. Great that there was an elevator and no steps. Rooms were nice - bed comfortable. Very nice three course meal for walkers. Best part is after day 1, I decided I wanted to ship my backpack to the next spot and the front desk had the delivery envelope from the post office. Their website was not easy and Maria at the front desk was helpful and equally stumped so she called the number provided and took care of the details for me. Fantastic assistance after a long day!
