The stay was good. Location was ok, a little far from Broadway but not bad cost with an Uber. Checking in was slow and we were only allowed to check in at 3 pm even though we were there really early. The girl at the desk upon our check in was about as friendly as a badger back into a corner.

This was absolutely the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was rude and did not do anything to remedy any issues. The bathtub was missing pieces and the room phone didn’t work. When I wanted to notify the front desk of the issues, I had to get my two small children and take them down to the front desk because the phone didn’t work. I was not able to bathe my children because we could not use the bathtub. The last communication I had with the staff was that we would be moved to another room. We never heard from them again. My kids fell asleep waiting and by that time, after driving 14 hours, it wasn’t worth arguing anymore. I tried to take as many photos as I could to show how gross the entire hotel was.

Start with positives - breakfast was good, bed was nice negatives - when I arrived (6:30 pm) I was told I got the last room even though I made my reservation over 2 months ago, when we got to our room the bathroom was locked, could not watch TV due to white lights shining through the screen- told staff they said they were waiting for TV, shower- for some reason we were placed in a handicapped room and the shower curtain did not go all the way to the floor so the water ran out on to the floor, the air conditional brought in cigarette smoke due to the intake was located outside where people smoked - this room 213

Unfortunately as we discovered, the Holiday Inn Expresses are extremely lower quality than the Holiday Inns. The smell of mildrew was so over powering that it made all our packed clothing smell horrible. The toilet broke the 1st night and had to have a plumber come in the next day, so we were using the public restrooms in the hotel. You could see the mildew on wall & ceiling. It was extremely unpleasant for me since I have severe allergies to mold & mildew. Pool was drained, gate chained & padlocked. Had no idea why, management never said anything nor was there a sign. The best part of the stay was breakfast.

The room had cockroaches, the bath towel had feces on it, there are mouse traps beside the ice machine, the room had a strong musty smell and the bedding was damp with moisture. There was no manager on duty to rectify any of these issues. This is the absolute worst hotel I have visited in 40 years of travel. Stay here at your own peril. A complete waste of money

There was initial confusion over our booking. We requested a king bed via ******* but were originally given 2 queen beds. When I went back to reception they said it’s a common problem with ******* bookings. The place overall was stained and in need of an update.

This area isn’t the nicest. The intersection in front of the holiday is littered with trash and people begging for money. 10 people at the hotel including us got out windows busted out. And one women got her car stolen. If you take away these things the hotel was nice. Hot breakfast. Nice staff.

Our room did not have any drapes/curtains on the window. We had to ask 3 times for something to put over the window to block out the street light. Finally we were given a sheet. Also saw a large cockroach in our room. Would not recommend!!!

Staff was nice and courteous. Our first room on 2nd floor had mold on the wall and a roach problem so they moved us to the 4th floor where the room seemed more aligned to our expectations.
