西大洋精品酒店(Ocean West Boutique Hotel)

The views are amazing no doubt about it. But if you are staying on the lower- pool floor expect foot traffic and workers moving around all day long. Even though I rented a room with a pool view ( Anex room) I could not open blinds or windows because of the privacy issues mentioned above. You might want to spend more and get a room one or 2 floors above. Also, all newly arrived guests entering ( a short cut) not from the main entrance/ lobby but from the back, pool patio where exactly my room was located. That should not be allowed to reserve guests privacy. For me, my stay was not relaxed because of it.

This is my “go-to” hotel in Nassau for overnight layovers. Convenient to the airport, the hotel will send a vehicle to and from the airport for a small fee. The staff is always friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel and grounds are lovely and well kept. There are two nearby restaurants just a short walk away. Safe and quiet place.

Walking distance restaurant was closed but staff is available for rides to/fr area attractions for a fee. Great staff and very nice accommodations.

I really just cannot say enough good things about this unique boutique hotel! This is probably my 7th or 8th time staying here, and I have to say, it is consistently great! This time I had a terrible travel ordeal to put up with, and by the time I arrived, I’d been up for something like 37 hours. It took me 25 hours just to get here from Seattle - ugh! But when I arrived…? Omg, every single ounce of stress immediately dissipated! The hotel is awesome in it’s over-the-top architecture and furnishings! So fun. Marble and gilding everywhere in this former mansion ;) And I have never stayed in a bed that was not supremely comfortable. Which is saying something since I’m enormous and have a bad back… The property is so lovely! The pool, the expansive ocean view, pool table, and honor bar are great, and the fact that this location is really and truly just about 5 minutes to and from the airport…..wow. And the breakfasts are wonderful and generous. But the thing that really makes this little 10-room hotel stand out is the staff. I swear, it seems like there are 2 of them for every one of us guests!! And there is absolutely nothing they are not willing to do to accommodate you. They either have or will get or take you to, everything you could possibly need. And they are so cheerful and kind. This broken old lady always feels totally taken care of here, which is something you will never get from any of the bigger hotels! Love the OWBH!!

Ocean West is a beautiful boutique hotel and the service and staff were great! Our room was small, but the balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean view made up for it- adding a pleasant, private and spacious area to read and enjoy the beautiful weather. We liked the location - close to quiet, less-crowded beaches and smaller beaches with clear, blue water and some good snorkeling right from the beach.

We booked it last minute and had a good experience overall. I wish we had people helping us with our bags at the hotel. Also, I noticed that there are lots of steps at the entrance so if you have heavy luggages you will have issues getting in the lobby.

Just a one night stop over, perfectly good option and close to the airport. No restaurant though, so you need a taxi, and taxi's are expensive in Nassau. Comfy bed after a long flight, great views and lovely pool. Breakfast quite pricey, but sufficient. Would stay again on a stop over for sure.
