i am sorry i have to write this review, however i do consider this like the worst example of customer service in a country that is usually very good at it. Here it goes. I spent the night in Negombo, i did not book a room there, luckily. In the morning, i was looking for a place to have a strong coffee and breafast. I come across this place and see the menu oitside for breakfast, stating expresso among others and a man standing outside. i asked him if they have expresso , he says yes, and happily i went to bring my mom and come to have breakfast. After we were seated, i asked for a menu, the same man says they do not have any as they are new (for me this is all more of a reason to have one, even if a printed piece of paper). Ok, so no biggie, i asked for my expresso, and i get the answer that they have no expresso. When i say what about the enu outside, he said that is not valid. Then i told him he confirmed when i asked outside, he just mumbled some apology. I felt cheated, like someone giving fake info just for you to go in, the you will stay anyway. I was contemplating the idea of leaving, but since i was with mom and for her coffee is not as inportant as it is for me, i decided to stil have breakfast after all, they are new so they deserve the benefit of the doubt, don't they? Well, i should have listened to my instinct. we ordered two fruit platters and some toast and jam for mom, plus a bottle of water. They came with a pot of tea, brought the water 20 mins later even though the fridge was half a meter from our table, and it took a whole 45 mins to cut a few slices of watermelon, papaya and pineapple, this after being asked 30 mims from the order if we need one or two fruit platters. At that point i got angry and gave the same man a piece of my mind loudly enough so other people would here. he just smiled and turned his back on me. Is this the right attitude for a place that opened one day before i wander... I am a very tolerant person, and have been living in Sri Lanka for almost 5 years now, but i have never witnessed this before especially since there is so.much competition in the area Now, the decicion is yours, but i would not go there!!
