法國區旁新奧爾良市中心萬怡酒店(Courtyard New Orleans Downtown Near the French Quarter)

This hotel is falsely advertised the location and the bar wax the only good thing about this hotel! First before we booked the hotel we called an asked about the balcony rooms two of my friends were told that all rooms that say view were balcony rooms so we went off of that and the highlights on the room which Alonso said balcony and booked the rooms ! When we arrived there was no balcony to my room so I go to the front desk to inquire about my balcony only to be told that the only rooms that come with a balcony will day balcony in the title they had no care that we called and spoke to someone who told us that the view rooms were balconies! They offered nothing and we just had to deal with it ! The room was mediocre the fridge was in a broken wooden dresser! The rooms looks nothing like the pictures definitely out dated version of the pictures online ! The bathroom had no ventilation and the edges of the shower were dirty ! There was a big rust stain on the floor next to my bed ! I asked to have my room cleaned when I went out only to return hours later and my room still not clean tried again later that evening same result! Called down to get toilet paper and towels which took 45 minutes to get ! I had to get toilet paper from my friends room smh ! I won’t be back ! We stayed 4 nights and I couldn’t get my room cleaned not one time just horrible! The microwave for each floor is in the hallway next to the ice machine!

The staff is not at all friendly. Also your room is only cleaned if you make a request. When I did, the room wasn’t swept, they simply picked up the garbage and changed the towels. The beds were half made, as in the covers were just brought up and the pillows literally thrown at the head of the bed! Would never recommend this hotel!!!

In general, the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. However, there was no Wi-Fi for the first three days of a 5 night stay. One night, there was no hot water (we received a note slid under out door to inform us). The next night, there was only scalding hot water or ice cold water in the shower and regardless of the temp, the water was a slow trickle. Will probably not stay here again.

Location was great. Valet was costly and food or breakfast was costly and not worth the money spent. Overall unclean than other courtyards and if you need a stay next to canal street this is good. Overall 3/5 for the price and comfort. Air conditioner was so loud and felt out of place for the Marriot brand name.

The photos are misleading. I paid extra for a “view” and the view we got was of the hallway. The lady at the front desk rolled her eyes at me and told me that I got exactly what I paid for. Never staying here again.

We weren’t able To get into Our room until 4:35 which was not ideal to start. The staff were all very friendly through out though. The hotel itself felt and looked dirty. Our room had a very strong chemical/ bug spray smell. Broken lamp shade, paint on the floor from “quick” repair I assume. Sticky substance in both elevators, over all not well run or taken care of property.

There were some good things- but all were overshadowed by the piss poor treatment from the manager of the hotel Miss Kelley. We found a bed bug on the towels provided. I pinched the bug in the towel and took it to the front desk. Lady at the desk arranged for a new room, told me the manager would be in tomorrow for further compensation, and told me to toss the bug with the towel on the trash. Next evening when I spoke with the manager she told me there was nothing she could do for refund as it was booked through a third party, and that since she didn’t see the bug herself that there would be no compensation anyway. I explained to her I brought it to the desk and was told to toss it, she repeated- I didn’t see it so there’s nothing I can do for you. She told me they checked the room and found no bed bugs so I didn’t deserve any compensation. I wonder- did it come from the laundry room on the towels then? Did they check there?? I don’t know, but she didn’t seem to care. Like I said there were some good things about the stay but the treatment received from the manager trumps them all. She had attitude before I even spoke to her. Terrible way to treat guests and for this reason I would NOT recommend you stay at this hotel. There are many others all around that area that looked very nice, and may have much more hospitable management.

Front desk staff were very unfriendly, no housekeeping whatsoever (apparently you had to request this - I found that out on my final day). Very noisy late into the night. Lots of homeless presence in the near vicinity. Elevators were not in the greatest condition. Overall would not recommend this courtyard at all.
