We had to get a hotel this time around on the Brooklyn side to stay near my son's gf's home. When you book the hotel and don't really pay attention to the posted square footage...and then you arrive at the hotel, you realize just how small it is. We paid average $450 per night for the Cosy Manhattan View room with a King bed. There's literally no room to comfortably unpack a luggage, no luggage rack. There's a small rack for hanging your coats and dresses and ample drawer room for storing your clothing underneath the bed. There is a safe for your valuables inside the drawer as well. The cleanliness could improve, because I saw someone's hair on the chair in the room, and plenty of dust on the floor. :/. After the shock of how small the room wore off, we noticed the beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline. It was the perfect timing since we arrived before sunset. There were people on a building adjacent to our hotel that were taking pictures of the sunset, but we got our own sunset show right from our room. :). The location is VERY convenient as it is a walking distance from the Ferry and Subway and there's Uber within 2 minutes every time I requested for one. By Uber, Manhattan is just a bridge ride away and the staff are all super nice! They provide free water as well...I wish I knew about their free water you can grab from their fridge by the check-in desk earlier so I didn't have to go buy bottles of water. Overall a very good stay!
