At check in we were asked to pay a "service charge" of USD 40.16 per night on top of the rate we had already paid through **********. Whilst we were shocked, the receptionist pointed out that it was in the terms and we should read the small print, and when we checked he was indeed correct. So I would advise anyone to read all the small print carefully, as this amounts to almost 10% on top of your fee. When we got to the room the safe didn't work and we had a dinner booked and the engineer didn't come up in time so we had to reluctantly hide our valuables and passports in the room while we went out. The safe was working when we arrived back later that night. However, on the morning of cheking out the safe wasn't working again and we had to cancel a meeting as nobody could locate the engineer and we had to wait until he eventually appeared. When he finally came he said he'd left his glasses at home and was finding it difficult to see the wires, eventually he replaced a part and got it open, we had to rush off to our second appointment of the day without breakfast. Other than that , the sheets felt damp in the rooms, the AC was noisy, and there was no coffee machine or mini fridge in the room, you could "request" a coffee machine or mini fridge to be brought up, we asked for a coffee machine and one arrived with three decaff pods. Overall we were very disappointed with our experience and we will never return to this hotel. I would class it as absolute maximum 3 star hotel.
