諾瑪德 AKA 酒店(Hotel AKA NoMad)

The location and the staff receive high marks. However, they cannot make up for the absolutely terrible environment, unfortunately. The room itself was a tiny, airless box. For a pricetag of over $1,000 for 2 nights we slept in a room with no adjustable thermostat. It was 77 degrees and stifling. Repeated calls to the front desk got apologies but no solutions, even when we asked if they could just locate a fan to help with the temperature. The window cracked open about an inch and a half (barely) but there was no way to get the air to circulate. It was utterly miserable to sleep there and hard to believe they can charge those prices without any comfort control in the rooms. Even with the heating system shut off, the room stayed at 77 degrees. Simply awful. Cannot recommend anyone stay there. Deeply disappointed.

Stayed here for the weekend with my husband and son. The prices (everywhere in NYC) were jacked up since it is close to Chris**as so we already felt like we were overpaying. We payed the fee to upgrade to a junior suite since there were 3 of us. However, the suite only had one bed (?) and when we asked about this the manager was not gracious or particularly helpful. They did give us a rollaway bed and waived the additional $75 fee (!) for this. The room was dark but very clean. The shower has one of those half walls so it was impossible not to flood the bathroom each time. Overall, it was fine but I would not stay there again.

Great location. The hotel was very clean with a high end feel. Rooms are good size. Staff was very friendly. Service at the bar was top notch. Our room was very warm at 74 degrees. When notified, guest services advised me to open the window. While this did help cool down the room, it also allowed all of the city sounds into the room. Paying $600/night and being forced to choose between being uncomfortable or being woken up multiple times throughout the night was upsetting. Receiving our car from valet upon checking out took over 50 minutes despite being told it would take no more than 30.

I was impressed by the AKA Nomad. Given the very high prices for hotel rooms in NYC this is a good compromise of quality and cost. Nice features in the rooms are the robes, coffee machine and great shower. Also a really good and (for NYC) reasonably priced breakfast. A negative is the miniscule wash basin which has been squeezed in to make room for other features - notably the shower. I guess you can't have everything!

Beautiful hotel, very clean & beautiful room , amazing location & very friendly staff especially Leana at the front desk & T.T. Bellman/doorman , highly recommend this hotel for an amazing New York experience.

Bellman Ian was excellent from the moment we met him. He was very helpful and his smile is very welcoming. We had a big confusion about parking options and ended up not getting the discount we were told we was getting the night before when we self parked. The hotel was great overall. I will be back
