$300 for a night in a small room is bad, but not nearly as bad as the meals which are saltier than the dead sea. Avoid Newman at all costs, we have had to stay in this town 3 times on route between Perth and Broome,.and would rather sleep on the roadside after 3 terribly expensive nightmare stayes in this town.

We came here for dinner while staying in town As long as you understand this camp is a mining camp - so the restaurant area is set accordingly then you won’t expect the world!! Personally I think it’s nice, yes a little sterile like a camp kitchen BUT it was clean and fresh too The staff are lovely (but don’t expect a warm welcome). Once seated the staff were great but when we walked in we were completely ignored and just seated ourselves - again just another camp style service Most importantly is the food! We definitely were NOT let down here. All the meals and starters were lovely and the lamb rack is amazing! If you can fit dessert the crème brûlée is beautiful We would come back again for sure as the meals were great

Good bits - comfortable bed. Nice, helpful staff. Delicious dinner. Bad bits - it’s a mining camp not a hotel, so people coming and going ALL night. Can’t open windows or doors otherwise your exposed to everyone that is constantly waking by. Tiny, expensive room. It’s a donga that has had some fancy bits added in. Might be ok for one person. No ventilation in the tiny room - you have to run the air con in the stuffy environment. Staff were lovely, and our evening meal was great - but sitting amongst loud, miners made it feel like a crib room not a dining room. We paid $315 to stay in a donga with shift workers coming and going.

Our room was a bit of a shock. Very small disabled room. In that you could walk into the shower. The bed was against one wall so inconvenient for a couple. No toiletries as promised. No glasses. Cobwebs in the corners of the room. It appeared the room hadnt been used for a while. The chain lock was broken. A lot of miners stay at the hotel. They did allow us to have the miners' meal. At $300 per night we would never stay there again

Stayed here with wife, mother-in-law and 2 kids. Modern, clean, well lit rooms. Rooms have enough space for 2 people but they have interconnecting rooms which work nicely for 4. Comfortable beds, good air conditioning, fridge, kettle, TV with Netflix and a powerful shower. Plenty of charging locations. Rooms are on the small side, but perfect for a stopover. Great staff - very helpful and hard working- nothing was too much trouble. We had the buffet dinner which had something for everyone including an ice cream station which the kids loved. Lovely outdoor beer garden / family area with Sonos sound system, cooling misting system and giant Jenga. Will stay again when in Newman (which is a great stopover for trips to Karijini or Broome from Perth). Ample parking in the compound with some power points for your fridge / battery charger.

Nothing was too much for the awesome people here . Best stay I’ve had in a long while .. great value for money . Get the meal package the food was amazing and delicious

I liked we could park our camper there, the dining was great and the reception service was great even though we were put in the wrong (smaller) room to start. It was easily fixed. Happy to stay again.
