老教堂之家民宿(Old Church House)

Comoda , " vissuta " ed arredata con gusto e personalita'. Piena di libri dappertutto, po !i,- questo per me basta a farmela piacere:). Occupavamo la twin deluxe, magari verammente deluxe non era ma era molto carina esteticamente , piu' che adeguata come spazi e fornita di tutto l'occorrente. Compreso un bel ventilatore potente , ( che non e' affatto da dare per scontato, in quanto in UK, per ragioni loro, si fanno sempre cogliere ...con le brache calate quando, puntualmente , arriva il caldo estivo- certo , finora non era' mai stato brutale come quest'anno, - ma i suoi bravi 30 gradi li fa sempre, lo dico con cognizione di causa, avro' passato almeno venti vacanze estive in Inghilterra, sempre schiattando di caldo, lol ). La proprietaria ha modi un po' asciutti, un po' sbrigativi, -con questo non voglio dire che sia scortese , assolutamente no- diciamo che non si perde in convenevoli e se siete abituati a locandiere piu' " coccolose " come spesso se ne trovano nella campagna inglese, questo e' uno stile un po' diverso. Colazione buona ed abbondante. C'e' almeno un gatto , libero di andare dovunque , o forse piu' gatti - questo puo' essere un problema, per me no di certo, - ma per chi e' allergico ai gatti si'.

I stayed at Old Church House for one night in advance of a job interview the following morning. The room was very comfortable and I really enjoyed the breakfast. I grew up with cats so it was nice to have Angus around too.

Lovely comfortable quiet B & B with superb varied breakfast each morning at your chosen time. Good location, 5 min walk to Newport town centre. Some good shops and plenty of places to eat. Central to IOW so easy to access both sides of the island. Julie, our host, was very kind and welcoming. Always happy to help. Rooms kept clean & tidy.

Charming place,not far from city centre but quite and peaceful. Very nice room,clean and good bed and shower room. Very excellent breakfast,nice couple managing and cooking. We would recommend and we shall be back hopefully. Beware there are some steps to the rooms if you are elderly o have problems with steps,other then that,5 out of 5 stars as a B&B with reasonable rates. Juan and Pongsak

Lovely place! Host was really friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect if you're looking for a place near town centre but still in a quiet and safe area.

Booked for one night at The Old Church House and what a lucky find. We arrived a little earlier than expected but we had a very warm welcome from the owner. She gave us a choice of rooms and we chose the twin room which was spacious and comfortable. We were then asked if we would like a cup of tea a very welcome gesture. The house is comfortable and it feels like you are staying with a friend rather than a cold B&B or a soulless chain hotel. The location is great for Newport town and there are plenty of places locally to choose from for evening meal. The breakfast the next morning was lovely, very nice quality ingredients for the cooked breakfast and all perfectly cooked. The dining room is very pleasant and surrounded with interesting curios displayed in a very tasteful way. Would certainly recommend and would stay again. Excellent value for money as well.

Fantastic stay on the island can recommend this for anyone including small family groups.
