Clean tidy. For one of the capital blue cod fisheries in NZ sad to be served frozen fish when it can probably be caught off the jetty fresh. And - More batter than fish. Part of Sunday Mail boat cruise which was excellent. Take your own lunch……….

My wife picked this spot. Excellent choice. You need to take a water taxi or mailboat to get there. Our trip was in November 2024 before the summer season and had the place to ourselves for one day. The kayaks could use a little refreshing. The daily menu included green lip muscles, fresh greens and various other burgers and fish and chips. The Bellbird was clean and had everything for a short stay. The little black flies were present but not bad.

As we were getting a cabin fever with Covid restrictions we went to the Lodge From arrival till we left it was Heaven It’s self catering but food available We’d forgotten what the Milky Way looked like Wonderful I cannot recommend highly enough

Beautiful location, awesome service and great food! Great fishing and kayaking as well. Staff are wonderful and could not do anything more to provide an amazing experience. Lovely rooms, excellent cleanliness and a fun atmosphere always!
