威登窄船酒店(Narrowboat at Weedon)

Room clean and facilities ok for price. Just not much external lighting when trying to find the room in the dark. Also could do with updating heating systems as does make continuous noises. Not the best of night sleep

Decided to go for dinner on Saturday 26th August for our wedding anniversary. Ordered drinks, starters & mains. Ordered White Wine & a Beer. I ordered Fish and replaced chips with mash. Not a lover of crushed peas, prefer mushy peas so decided to not have the peas. Drinks came, the wine was warm not cold or even room temperature. Warm. 2 minutes later the waitress came to say they have no mash potato. Saturday night restaurant with no potatoes for mash??? Food took a long time to arrive even thought restaurant wasn’t busy. And yes you guessed it. Peas on the plate. Overall the service was average, the drinks were average and the food was average. Probably would not return.

Perfect location overlooking the canal and although on quite a busy road, was very peaceful, especially as you can go for a walk alongside the canal. We stayed here the night before we headed to Silverstone, which was only a short drive away. The room was ideal, nice and clean with all the usual amenities, such as tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer, fluffy towels & complimentary toiletries. The decor & furniture could do with a little freshen up and the shower was lacking a little shelf for your toiletries. We also ate in the restaurant, the staff were very welcoming & friendly & we enjoyed some tasty food.

Stayed here for the F1 at Silverstone. The room was great and the food was delicious. The beer and wines are spot on has well, the staff are brilliant. If your an F1 fan you can’t stay at a nicer place it only 7 miles from the circuit. Take a cab or drive to the park & ride all sorted. I would highly recommend staying at the narrow boat.

This is a lovely place to visit especially on a sunny evening and can sit out and enjoy the view of the canal. I am quite surprised by the food reviews on here as I came onto trip Advisor expecting them to be excellent! I had a wonderful meal here. The lamb rump was absolutely delicious, really well cooked on a bed of spring beans which were also perfectly cooked and the dauphinois potatoes were also beautiful. I really enjoyed it and was so pleased I had ordered it as it jumped out at me as soon as I saw it on the menu. The gravy in a separate boat was good too so could choose exactly how much to add.

The room was ok to stay for one night. The front door didn’t close properly, corner of door was slightly ajar, but it wasn’t cold outside so it was fine. Bed was fine. Small tv and tea and coffee facilities in room. Countryside around which was nice. Didn’t eat there as was going to party at the dodmoor house up the road, but get ready to be ripped off by the only taxi firm in the area, £15 for a 2 min taxi ride. Crazy. But that’s no fault of the narrowboat ofcourse.

Perfect location, room super clean and staff extremely helpful and friendly. Gorgeous views of the Canal. Would highly recommend

The chalet style room was in a row of 6 or so at the end of the car park. The room was very comfortable and clean with a great pub at the other end of the car park that served amazing food!!!

Stayed here as close base for a wedding we were attending. Firstly on the way down someone tried to take the payment from my card before we even checked in, the info says we pay on check in not they will take it when they feel like, my bank alerted me they had refused the transaction and to use chip and pin. Called the hotel and was told they had done it by mistake. The room was clean, however the sheet/mattress protector was too small for the bed and popped off while we were sleeping which is annoying, only 2 thin pillows on the bed. Had to fold them over to sleep and no sign of spares in the room, by the time we got back at 11:30pm main building was closed so no one to ask for more. Apart from that the room is ok. Breakfast service was painfully slow, 20 minutes to bring a glass of water. Breakfast its self was mediocre, we had different items from the menu and both received over cooked eggs and undercooked bacon. Stayed for convenience of location, unlikely to return.
