Very well managed by owner Cullen McCloud. His staff was wonderful at both the Scot and restaurants Piazza and Ee-Usk. The manager at the Piazza was amazing! Best oysters ever! Friendly, knowledgeable, and super accommodating!!!

No lift. Narrow stairs. Awkward door lock (physical key with a huge fob). Breakfast only. Will not allow outside food to be eaten in breakfast / bar area - even when no one is there. Service is hit or miss...

The Scot is perfectly located and very well equipped for a wonderfully comfortable time. Due to a rare hot day in Scotland we were worried we’d be too hot to sleep, but there was a fan in the wardrobe too! Good sized, comfy rooms, great staff and great value.

Zentral gelegen, alles in Oban leicht zu Fuß erreichbar. Genügend Parkplätze hinter dem Hotel. Sauber, ruhig, gute Ausstattung. Leider teures Frühstück. Gern wieder beim nächsten Mal in Oban!

They were so friendly. We enjoyed reading in the lounge area, eating breakfasts each morning. Our room was very comfortable. Oban is a hidden treasure.

Nice hotel, centrally situated in Oban. Bathroom had some mould in it which could have been removed but apart from that it was fine. Would return

Love this hotel won’t stay anywhere else when in Oban. The staff are lovely and friendly and rooms and decor are great. They also use my favourite body products too!!

Beautiful hotel in Oban town centre. Rooms are a good size and very clean. Great shower room with fresh, fluffy towels. The buffet breakfast is superb with loads of choice.

Very nice stay with easy walk to everything in town. New bathroom in our room was very nice. Parking on site was secure and easy.

Property was really nice and everything was spotless. Only downside for me was there was no lift and my husband and I are pensioners so it was hard climbing up to the 2nd floor. If we stay again we will request a room on the 1st floor.

A comfortable hotel in easy walking distance to the center of Oban. The staff were lovely. I will stay there again.

Nice hotel with efficient check in process. Compact room is just that - adequate for an overnight stay but furniture needs re-thinking as too many corners to catch legs on. Would need a bigger room if staying any longer as there's not much room to move around. Large comfortable bed and smart, modern bathroom. Beware as apparently booking a compact room means having a compact shower cubicle too - so much so, being a bigger person, the gap between the sliding doors was not enough to allow access to the shower which is very poor and very disappointing.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Scot. Very clean hotel. Staff were all friendly. Room was nice and warm. Lovely bathroom, bit small though. Shower was fab! Great selection of drinks in the room, tea, coffee, hot chocolate sachets and cappuccino sachets. Also 2 bottles of water. 2 teacakes in the room each day was a lovely wee treat! Hotel is in a great place for walking around oban shops and getting to the harbour for catching a ferry.
