LKNZ小屋(Lknz Lodge & Cafe)

It having a Sauna and a Spa was perfect, its why i booked it as i wanted to use the soa after my 32km run. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If i do this race again next i will be staying at the lodge again.

I stayed in both the backpackers unit and also the queen bed one with a kitchen. It was perfect for what i needed, location is really close to major sites in the area, clean, comfortable and I would stay again

Very cool tidy place, the kitchens were clean has all the needed amenities, the spa and sauna were a highlight and very cheap 10/10 recommend using them. there's also a variety of movies to watch which was fun.

A brilliant all round experience. The staff are really friendly and the views from the Double Rooms are fabulous. The rooms are a bit small but have everything you need.

Great facilities clean and friendly environment

I normally come here when I am looking for fairly cheap accommodation when going to Mt Ruapehu. I usually book online so I get an idea of real time room availability. They also do it by the bed. There are a few different areas here which are different prices. You have options of private or shared rooms/bathrooms, as well as options of family rooms or bunk beds. The prices do include linen and towels. They also have amenities such as a drying room, laundry room and bike storage shed. It is located in the main Ohakune area so it is within walking distance to the restaurants and the New World nearby. They also have a spa as well as a cafe on site. I normally arrive late at night and usually don't have issues getting into the room after arriving. It is quite a nice place to sleep if you're able to get a booking.

1. The bathroom was shared, but it wasn’t clear from the room description 2. Internet speed was bad - we were getting less than 1Mbps in the room. 3. The shared space had a weird smell of smelly Asian food 4. We were given a room downstairs, and the guests upstairs made a lot of noise, making it impossible to sleep. Overall, this was my worst stay in New Zealand.

The check-in wasn’t great, with the staff member being pretty uninterested in even acknowledging us at the desk when we were the only customers there. But otherwise it was good. The rooms are small, but tidy, warm and comfortable. The in-house cafe was great for breakfast in the morning and the EV charging available in the car park was awesome. I think it’s rated at 7kw, but topped out at about 4kw. The staff serving at the cafe and at check out were really friendly, it was just the check-in that wasn’t good.
