阿波羅酒店(Apollo Hotel)

According to the person I booked for, the price is not worth the room she was assigned, but it’s okay for a stay for a night but not for a continuous stay. Overall it’s okay.

Very convenient hotel for going to Edgbaston for the cricket. Easy to get to & plenty of parking, and service was good. We had a family room for 4 people containing 6 single beds. The floor and the bathroom weren't the cleanest and the toilet seat was loose But ok hotel for convenience and a 1 night stop over.

The benefit of the Apollo was the triple room as a cost saving if you are on a budget trip. The bed linen was fresh and clean. The bathroom also was clean. I would not stay there on my own as would have felt unsafe. 1970s misery motel architecture where Jack Reacher would not have been out of place. The desolate wasteland around the building probably hosts a veritable insect haven amongst the waving grasses that have invaded the empty parking lot. Please pick up the disposable razor discarded behind A102. The flimsy door was difficult to open and was scuffed. The room smelt of chemicals and damp but at least the windows did open. The toilet plumbing had a tune of its own that deterred the even the brave from midnight flushing. Very very thin pillows. Bright lighting. Pathetic WiFi. Broken iron and reception had to scrabble around for a spare. Telephone looked filthy. Chair scruffy. No mirror above dressing table. Good amount of tea bags and plastic milk. Didn't have breakfast as left early. Well it wasn't like we were expecting much for the price.

This hotel does not look like the photos. Our first allocated room the toilet seat was not attached, a screw in the bath tub blocking up a hole and we had a third bed which had not been requested so we could not move in the room. We were moved to another room which we can only describe as filthy, there were no mattress, duvet pillow case protectors. The bathroom was just awful with yet another moveable toilet seat...The iron was broken at the handle which was just dangerous...safe to say we did not stay..it felt abandoned and was dated back to the 70's. There was also an overbearing scent of cheap airfreshner so good only knows what that was masking. I was there a maximum of 15 minutes and found that I had been bitten multiple times. Relocated to a hotel down the road at an extra cost due to the on the day necessity of my booking. It will not let me upload any of my photos on this site.

The person booked into this property could not stay as it was in such a bad and dirty state with food on the carpets and tables in the room. He did not feel safe there and did not feel that he could park his car there either

We stopped here as we were going to the cricket at Edgbaston. Hotel is basic no frills accommodation but has lots of parking and was good vfm.

Room was in a horrible condition for this kind of money what I paid. Bathroom was dirty and the lights wasn’t working, it was room for two with one towel, and the worst thing was that drunk people was screaming around the hotel for all night.

I felt the room was very dated, not like the picture advertised on the website. It was clean though. Bathroom wasn’t the nicest and the toilet made a horrific noise when flushed.

Clean rooms for reasonable price. Been before and knew what to expect but fittted in with plans
