Ein wirklich tolles Konzept Zimmer super, Abendessen sehr gut und man wird hier toll betreut die Homesteadtour war sehr informativ und man bietet hier der Jugend Perspektiven, Betty betreut die Jugendlichen perfekt!! Der Kochkurs war auch toll, die Aufbereitung des Huhns durfte dann doch der Koch selbst machen Tolle Erfahrung

Auf dem Weg in den Norden Namibias haben wir 2 Nächte hier verbracht. Die Bungalows sind traditionell gebaut & mit dem Wichtigsten ausgestattet. Das junge Personal unter kundiger deutscher Leitung ist sehr aufmerksam & freundlich. Das traditionelle Abendessen am Lagerfeuer wird detailliert vorgestellt. Ein geführter Besuch des Homesteads & des lokalen Markts rundet unseren Besuch ab. Wichtig: Bitte besucht die Nähateliers, wo junge Frauen zu Schneiderinnen ausgebildet werden & bestellt dort massgeschneiderte Kleider & Kissenüberzüge!

Die Lodge ist ein kleiner Geheimtip. Schöne große Zimmer in einzelnen Hütten. Viel aus recyceltem Material gebaut. Wir waren 2 Nächte da und an einem Abend wurden traditionelle Owambolandspeisen gereicht. Nicht jedermanns Sache, aber auf jeden Fall probieren. Auf Wunsch wird ein sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück serviert.

Deux chemins pour s’y rendre. L’un deux est très ardues. Passer par le chemin de gravel lequel est situé un peu plus loin. L’accueil était exceptionnel. Le personnel était extrêmement gentil. Les enfants du village nous ont fait un spectacle à notre arrivé. On a fait le souper traditionnel. C’était bon. Portions généreuses. Ils se sont souciés de tout les allergies / restrictions alimentaire. Le tour du village était chère pour ce que c’était, mais nous avons tout de même apprécié apprendre la communauté. Il ne s’agit pas du village Himba ne vous y méprenez pas.

Nous avons adoré, très confortable, intime, car très peu de cabane personnel aux petits soins. On circule pieds nus sur le sable blanc. le repas traditionnel nous a comblé. Endroit très calme, avec une école de couture à côté où je peux acheter chapeau, sac et chemise à des prix très très raison

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and the service even better. The campsite was clean , the showers and toilets were clean and worked well. There was always hot water as well. The rooms are large, clean and lovely. We enjoyed our stay , one night camping and one night in a room.

Loved our stay at Ongula - we did the sunset donkey cart ride- through the village and surroundings : excellent! Staff could not do enough for us , they were great ! Had the traditional supper -very interesting and tasty . Highly recommend. It’s a bit off the beaten track but great stop over .

What a wonderful surprise this place has been! The accommodation is fantastic, the food is excellent, and the people are absolutely lovely. But it’s more than just a lodge—it also has a college as part of its infrastructure and even a traditional village, adding a touch of local history. The experiences here are truly special, all centered around traditional Namibian culture. If you ever find yourself in the area, I can’t recommend this place enough for an authentic and enriching experience!

What a wonderful place. Staff are warm, friendly, engaging, caring, helpful. Meals are out of this world (but they still owe me the recipe for the Mahangu Salad. Rooms are exceptional!

This place was superb. Apart from the brilliant accommodation in individual huts that had everything we could need, the staff were so friendly and keen for us to learn about te community. We loved the tour of the place where the foundation offers valuable courses to enable people to gain skills to help them get work or set up their own business. We enjoyed learning about the pottery, the cooking and the agriculture. Excellent all round!

Very pleasant stay at Ongula lodge after a long day of travel. The place is unique, clean and the staff pays attention to details to ensure you have a good experience. Also, the food is delicious! Thank you to Ongula's staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

We stayed 1 night at Ongula Homestead between Opuwo and Etosho. Everything was handled with much love and attention. We took the tour to see all the activities of the homestead. At night we were served a traditional dinner, which was very nice on a long table with the other guests, like one big family. We recommnend staying here.

We had a very nice stay at Ongula. The people were very friendly and we had a tasty dinner only for the two of us in a great surrounding. We made the homestead tour and it was a great experience. The guides were very competent and showed and taught us a lot. We can recommend the homestead very much!
