I booked Mayura Sudarshan, Ooty (27–30 Nov) expecting the beautiful garden view and peaceful ambiance shown on MMT.But upon arrival, I was shocked to learn that my booking had been shifted to a completely different property — Mayura Royal Heritage — without my consent. Later, I discovered that the room categories shown on MMT under Sudarshan (like Heritage Room, Heritage Wooden Cottage, Dome Room, etc.) do not exist at all in that property. Sudarshan actually has only Wooden House, Suites, AC/Non-AC Standard Rooms, and Premium Rooms, all facing the garden. This makes the current MMT listing misleading and inaccurate. Because of this, I ended up staying in a boarding-area location with no garden view, which defeated the entire purpose of my trip. Additionally, services like breakfast were inconsistent — no buffet on 28th when only two couples were staying, but a full buffet on 29th & 30th when more guests arrived. Overall, the experience felt misleading, disappointing, and frustrating. --- ⚠️ IMPORTANT ALERT FOR FUTURE TRAVELERS If you have already booked Mayura Sudarshan or are planning to book, please read carefully: If you booked any “Heritage Room” under Mayura Sudarshan — that room is NOT in Sudarshan. If you are expecting a garden view, but booked a Heritage category listed under Sudarshan — you will not get it. You may end up being shifted to Mayura Royal Heritage, which has no garden view and is in a completely different location. This can lead to disappointment, frustration, and a feeling of being cheated. 👉 Please check the room category and location carefully before booking. Only the actual Sudarshan room categories (Wooden House, Suite, AC/Non-AC Standard, Premium) are in the garden-view property. --- I hope this review helps future travelers avoid the experience I went through.
