濱海大道精品酒店(Boutique Hotel Esplanade)

Nachdem wir letztes Jahr hier einfach wundervolle Tage erleben durften, haben wir uns auch heuer wieder dazu entschlossen ein Wochenende im Boutique Hotel zu verbringen. Leider hat sich das als großer Fehler herausgestellt, es ist außer den Zimmern eigentlich nichts mehr wie es war. Die Kulinarischen Highlights vom letzten Jahr sucht man vergeblich egal ob beim vier gängigen Abendessen oder beim Frühstück, übrig bleibt eine große Enttäuschung und die Gewissheit nie wieder das Hotel zu betreten.

**English version, see below** Vorab die positiven Aspekte des Aufenthalts im Hotel Esplanda: Es liegt wirklich wunderschön und direkt am Meer. Die Preise für das Gebotene sind wirklich in Ordnung im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels der Umgebung. Das Frühstück ist wirklich fantastisch - hier wird wirklich jeder Gaumen befriedigt. Neutral: Das Personal ist nett, die Zimmer sind sauber und es gibt Parkplätze direkt am Hotel. Jetzt zu den eher negativen Eindrücken: Unser Zimmer war im „alten“ Flügel des Hotels und war dementsprechend abgenutzt (Teppichböden nicht mehr in einwandfreiem Zustand, die Matratzen schon äußerst durchgelegen, das Bad war ohne Lüftung und mit schlechter Abdichtung der Dusche, so dass schnell das ganze Bad unter Wasser steht beim Duschen). Laut Aussage der Homepage sollte der Pool gewärmt sein, was in 90% der Fälle wahrscheinlich nicht groß auffällt, bei etwas bedeckteren Tagen Ende September aber schon ins Gewicht fällt - leider war der Pool bei unserem Test nicht gewärmt. Genau zu unserem Aufenthalt fand unglücklicherweise ein „Gala Dinner“ im Hotel statt (der aber NICHT für die Hotelgäste, sondern für externe (einheimische) Gäste konzipiert war. Das Abendessen für die Hotelgäste konnte daher nicht wie geplant im großen Speisesaal sondern neben der Hotelbar und nur in einem kurzen Zeitfenster von 2h stattfinden - ein solches Konzept für eine externe Veranstaltung bei laufendem Hotelbetrieb geht meiner Meinung nach gar nicht. Abschließend noch ein Stichwort zum Hygienekonzept des Hotels während Corona: Alle angestellten trugen einen Mund-Nasen-Schutz, wobei dieser beim Großteil des Personals zu einem alleinigen Mundschutz umfunktioniert wurde. Fazit: Wer ein schön und zentral gelegenes Hotel mit gutem Frühstück sucht, abends sowieso gerne auswärts isst und ansonsten nicht viel Zeit im Hotel verbringen will macht mit dem Esplanade alles richtig. ————————————————— English version: First of all, the positive aspects of the stay at the Hotel Esplanda: It is really beautifully located and right by the sea. Now for the more negative impressions: Our room was in the "old" wing of the hotel and was accordingly worn (carpeting no longer in perfect condition, the mattresses already extremely worn, the bathroom was without ventilation and with poor sealing of the shower, so that quickly the whole bathroom is under water when showering). According to the homepage, the pool should be warmed, which in 90% of cases is probably not very noticeable, but on somewhat overcast days at the end of September is already important - unfortunately, the pool was not warmed during our test. We stayed in the Boutique Hotel Esplanade in Crikvenica for 1-night in mid-Apr (€128). The hotel is located across from the beach at the north-west edge of town, a short walk down the pleasant promenade to the restaurants and bars of the main plaza on the small boat harbour. Our superior seaside suite with balcony was in the historic part of the hotel, beautifully renovated with stylish, modern finishes. It had a large sitting area with a huge couch, chair, minibar and a large flat-screen TV, opening onto a large balcony with a table, chairs and a sea view (and a drying rack for swim suits). There was a mini-refrigerator for your cold drinks, and a plate of fresh cookies as a welcome gift. The bedroom was large, with a 4-post king bed with unusually comfortable pillows, side tables, 2 clothes racks (a nice touch), a large closet with a huge safe, and a second TV. The bedroom also had a smaller balcony with a sea view. The bathroom had a huge bathtub/shower, and a large vanity around the single sink. The property was large, nicely maintained, with a restaurant/bar with outside patio seating, and a large pool with plenty of loungers. Parking on the property was €15, but was free on the tree-lined street out front. The hotel hosted an afternoon tea, and a pre-dinner schnapps tasting that was fun. Breakfast was superb, beginning with a multi-layer serving platter with fruits, cheeses, cold-cuts, followed by a large a la carte selection of hot foods that were stylishly plated and delivered to the table. Overall, the Esplanade is a beautifully renovated, stylish hotel in a location convenient to the beach, the main restaurants and bars, but sufficiently apart to be quiet and offer safe street parking. Throw in the friendly and helpful staff, what is not to like? Highly recommended.

Clean and elegant hotel. The room was spaceious and well equipped. Breakfast was an experience in itself, 5-star breakfast with al-carte The beach just across the road. Everything you need is near the hotell: Restaurants, bakery, bike rental, food shop. Crikvenica is a typical Mediterranean resort town, but in the hotel you get to stay in your own little peacefull bubble with great service.

Hotel is nothing special. It is old and quick renovated. Bathrooms are still old. Wellness also new. Staff is friendly. I would recommend this hotel only for short stay. But breakfast is superb. Alla cart, at least it was during covid.

Friendly staff, wery clean and spacy room, nice spa, and wonderfull restaurant and service, it was my excellent relaxing stay.

Beautiful refurbished hotel on great location in Crikvenica. Staff is very profesional and attentive. Half board is very rich mix of domestic flavors of fish or meat. There are 5 courses on the dinner followed with great wines. I really recommend this place for a summer vacation or just a daily rest, dinner and welness for couples.
