Heerlijk diner en superfijne overnachting gehad in een mooie kamer en fijne ruime badkamer. Een uitgebreid ontbijt met croissantjes en heel veel zelfbereide producten zoals granola, jam enz. gehad. Gastvrouw zo aardig en vriendelijk. Zeker de moeite waard om te gaan eten en overnachten.

We liked Pitches to stay in. The owners were very kind, the food was very good and the rooms were clean and modern. There was also a hot tub which we used. I would recommend it. To the owners I would just say that the lady serving breakfast might be a little more customer service oriented and a little less short tempered.

This was a fabulous stay on our rail trail adventure. We loved the hotel, the beds were so comfy and had a fabulous sleep, lovely toiletries and we made use of the hot tub after a day of cycling. Great fresh breakfast in the morning too! 10/10 all round.

A superb meal beautifully cooked and presented. David collected us from our Omakau accommodation and gave us an interesting tour of the historic homes of Ophir. The wine list is extensive and the food I’d delicious. Colleen is a knowledgeable welcoming host. Highly recommended

Beautiful Anniversary Vacation stay in July for our 4 year anniversary. Love Ophir and cant wait to stay again. Lovely staff, beautiful comfortable rooms at a gorgeous establishment. Very well priced. Food was amazing! We loved it, have told many others to come and visit. We will be back! Thanks ☺️

We had a lovely meal here. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful without being intense. The atmosphere was friendly. The food was of fine dining standard and delicious and a good wine selection was available. We were offered a free ride to and from our accommodation in Omakau.

We stayed here as part of our Otago Rail Trail cycle holiday. Nice clean room, a good restaurant, a nice outdoor bar area and a hot-tub to chill out in. The service was very pleasant, they helped us choose nice wines for dinner and overall we had a great stay. Recommended.

Post otago rail trail and with two young kids we were well taken care of. Attentive and efficient waitress We had gnocchi prawn entree and venison for one main and wife had salmon. Kids had couple burgers from the kids menu The food was spot on . Venison cooked to perfection and wife said salmon was best she has had in a while Wine chosen was very good as well Highly recommend the visit

Really enjoyed our two nights at Pitches. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well fitted out with quality furnishings. Everything we might need had been provided and we were lucky enough to have a room that opened out onto the delightful garden. The staff were very helpful pointing out their favourite places for us to visit in the area

Loved this place. Very historic building. Which is unusual in New Zealand. Nothing to complain about. Great people Great food. Had all our meals here and loved it. Great wine list at a reasonable price Great rooms Comfortable beds Very clean Would recommend to anyone.

Stopped here as we cycled the Otago Rail trail. Absolute highlight. Fabulous hospitality, super comfy beds & great sized rooms with excellent amenities. We dined at their restaurant & local wines & food were superb. Being able to relax in the outdoor hot tub after a day in the saddle was a bonus!

We never expected such an amazing stay, fabulous, actually world class food and great people. The history in the area makes for a very interesting journey that takes you through the gold rush era. A must stay.

Wonderful place to stay with comfortable bed, excellent restaurant, delightful service and most important of all exceptional Allpress coffee. As you can tell we loved it. For a walk before dinner we recommend strolling down to the historic and beautiful suspension bridge which is about 1k down the main road.

Stayed at this wonderful place recently when riding the Otago Rail trail. Accommodation was pre-booked by the riding company and we were unsure of what we would get. How surprised we were. This place is fantastic and is steeped in history. The food and service was fantastic. Many thanks!
