It’s absolutely beautiful Food is great Very clean and the staff is wonderful

After purchasing a 7 day Beach club resort stay thru a Disney travel agent, I was dumbfounded on how they have a banding policy at the pool never clearly explained to the guest at booking or pool entrance. The guest are then made to get out of the pool at the entitles employees discretion to go get banded or color of the band changed. They had qualms with me bringing one adult guest inside (which I did not know I couldn’t) instead of professionally linking them as an extra guest to my room of only 2 people. Save your sanity and get a room at Swan and Dolphin. Similar geography with a better Marriott management.

So to give some context we are DVC members and this was our 8th Trip and I’ve stayed at almost every deluxe resort now apart from the Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower. This was my second stay at the Beach Club and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. The rooms had been refurbished since our last stay which was nice but to be fair I wasn’t wowed. The view was trees and a busy noisy road absolutely appalling. I requested a decent view but that was completely ignored which I was shocked at as the cast members at Saratoga and Animal Kingdom have always been so accommodating. However my biggest issue with this stay was the staff. I had to deal with 2 cast members whilst checking in, first a young lady who was nice but just didn’t have a clue. We had some issues with the app in terms of virtual queues which on our last visit the staff at Saratoga Springs had dealt with it fantastically so I was expecting this same high level of customer service and magic but no. When I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to, to resolve the issue she directed me to the manager on duty unfortunately I didn’t get his name but he was a gentleman from Haiti. His overall general attitude was one of total arrogance and in no way wanted to help in fact he was very dismissive. I have never in my 12 years of visiting Disney ever come across a cast member with this attitude and what made it worse it was my 50th Birthday and nether of them even wished me happy birthday and I had the Disney Pin on. We have now checked into Riviera and what a difference so far, Patrick was fantastic at check in and has arrange a birthday treat. Definitely no Disney Magic at the Beach Club on this visit.

The front desk staff are rude. Also, upper management will not assist their guests. They will be looking right at you and not even acknowledge your presents. The resort I loved has gone downhill. We purchased water views and have a view of trees, and also request a walk-in shower. Have tube and was told there were no other rooms available. The management was unhelpful and rude. I can not wait for Universal EPIC to open the given disney run for their money.

Stayed there from Aug 13-19. Hotel seems clean enough. Room had more space than value or moderate. Paid extra for the "deluxe" experience which was far from what we received. Housekeeping supposed to be daily-yet in our 6 days, room was only taken care of twice. 4 of the days we were out by 730am and didn't return until 4 or later. Room not done, nothing. Called housekeeper who accused us of having the room occupied tag on the door, which it wasn't. They asked if we wanted it done, we said yes and left immediately each day and came back at 11pm or 12am and the room was still untouched. Had to call for towels each of the days and when they brought them they would not take our dirty ones so had to have a pile there each day. One of the times we called the housekeeper said "we are told to turn off our phones at 4 so that's why it didn't get done" yet we spoke to the supposed supervisor each day. Finally the day we left we are getting ready and at 815am a housekeeper knocks on the door to "see if you need anything". So the day we leave they want to help us at 830 when during the whole trip we could not get any help after calling and speaking with management. Spent over $5000 for this hotel really looking forward to deluxe experience and left very disappointed. We have been to Disney the last 4 years in a row for a week each stay, and this will likely be our last. Simply not paying that much money for incompetence or laziness. The housekeepers were in the hall, all their stuff carts etc was out there each day and they couldn't be troubled to clean our room. Just intolerable for a premium price.

Great 3 star hotel that charges 5 star prices. We stayed there for two weeks. The check in process by the door was very quick and efficient. The room itself was a large family room with two double beds, luxurious? no functional and clean? yes. Food in the hotel was average at best and very expensive 200 dollars for breakfast, oh and don't forget the 40 dollar tip for bring 4 glasses of orange juice! The swimming pool is excellent and gets really busy but games and music and a great slide for the kids. The staff though are generally wonderful and will do all they can to help. Disney, since covid, has become very expensive and any family that is planning a trip needs to plan for this. That is regardless of which hotel that you stay in. 10 dollars for a pint ( oh and don't forget the tip!) It needs to be planned with military preciseness long before going. Nothing to do with the hotel but the cost of Disney plus ( was once fast pass - 1 ride at a time) varies per park but ranges from 60 dollars (Epcot) to 120 dollars (Magic Kingdom) a day!!! AND fast passes for the big rides are not covered on that, that is extra still per ride! All being said it was a fantastic holiday. The hotel is very close to Epcot ( walking distance), Disney Broadwalk ( walking distance) and Hollywood studio's (boat trip).

I had always wanted to stay at this resort since my first visit to WDW in 1990. This year we were able to afford this deluxe hotel. It is beautiful both inside and out. The rooms are big and the beds are extremely comfortable. The best feature is its close proximity to EPCOT. However. Our room is above their feature pool Stormalong Bay, more so where the volleyball net is situated. There is constant loud music with deep bass from 10am until late. This disturbed us immensely as you can't come back during the day for a quiet, deserved break from the parks due to the constant thud; this is the same in the evenings. Their focus should be on all the guests and not just those in the pool. This music was far too loud and prolonged and I would like the managers to come up to these rooms and experience what we have had to. Definitely wouldn't stay here again.

This is I think my 5 or 6 stay at Beach Club. We are on Club Level again, too, and are feeling so let down. Our room is an accessible room so it’s smaller than a traditional room, but the real problem is the renovations. Let’s start with the new roman shades that have a 3.5” to 4” gap between the shade and the window, so the light from the balcony fills the room all night. The balcony lights cannot be turned off on about 5 rooms on the club level and mine was one of those rooms. The concierge said it’s a “safety issue” and that’s all she knows. I have not slept since we arrived because of it. Our room is bright all night long. And the concierge said she gets complaints about it all the time. And yet nothing has been done? The mgmt knows that this is an issue and guests in your most expensive rooms are unhappy and unable to sleep and nothing is being done to resolve the issue? Additionally, the new beds and pillows are hard and very uncomfortable. A cheap step down from the previous ones. And the new vinyl flooring looks nice, but requires diligent sweeping to keep clean and that is not being done. Our floors have debris and dirt all over them. The club lounge is just getting sadder and sadder. Few offerings. They rotate every two nights so you’re getting very limited options. And don’t get me started on the Nespresso machine. Broken again?! It was broken the last two times we stayed here, too. And the last time we were here was a year and a half ago. You couldn’t just get a new machine by now? We used to love this resort so much. But I think our love affair is over and it’s back to the monorail resorts for us.

For this review I would like to start by saying the only reason for the 4-star review is we recently stayed in a recently renovated room at Grand Floridian, and that’s the difference here. I won’t compare these resorts too much, but the room upgrades are needed at Beach Club. Since we are on the room upgrades. The room was clean and fit our family of five with no problem. It was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed every minute! The furniture is a bit banged up and the carpet normally gets removed for laminate floors during the upgrades. The room is great, just needs to the renovating. Disney is recognizing that and working to address, just haven’t got to this beloved resort yet! The resort is located right next to Epcot-less than a 10 minute walk to the international gateway. It was amazing. You can take a boat to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. We chose to walk to the Studios, about a 15-20 minute one depending on speed. Bus transportation was the best we have had at Disney. No need to make all those multiple stops like the moderates. The pool is another reason you would want to stay here. It is amazing. Three pools with sand bottom one as well. Fun activities for the kids, an awesome Slide, a lazy river, and a bar and restaurant right by the pool. What else can you ask for. Best pool at Disney and it might be not close. A disclaimer, my kids are older now but I remember when they were younger this pool can be difficult to keep eyes on wondering kids in the pool. It is a large pool, so keep that in mind. I thought the quick service meal spot was very limiting for this type of resort, as was the gift shop. A stark step down from the Magic Kingdom resorts. The resort staff and housekeeping did an amazing job. Love staying at this resort. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially if Epcot and Studios are your priorities. Nothing like watching the fireworks at Epcot and being back in the pool by 9:30!
