Abbiamo festeggiato il nostro matrimonio a Villa Orsellina e da subito Esther (event manager) ci ha trasmesso calma e tranquillità e soprattutto ci ha fatto capire che con lei eravamo tranquilli. Per questo motivo abbiamo deciso di affidarci a Villa Orsellina per il nostro matrimonio. La struttura è curatissima, il personale gentilissimo e lo chef con il suo staff si sono superati. Hanno cucinato per 94 persone e abbiamo ricevuto solo complimenti dai nostri invitati. Sono rimasti tutti contentissimi del cibo, la location, l’ottima organizzazione, i fiori, ecc…. Non possiamo che ringraziare Esther e il suo staff per aver reso il nostro giorno più importante una favola e un momento magico per noi. Grazie davvero di cuore a Villa Orsellina. Consigliamo chiunque voglia sposarsi di scegliere Villa Orsellina perché non si può chiedere di meglio. Lisa & Mattia

Vom Empfang bis zur Abreise, äusserst freundliches und professionelles Personal. Die Suiten sind sehr geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet, was das Herz begehrt. Zudem haben wir in den letzten Jahren in all den 5-Sterne Häusern kein einziges angetroffen, welches sauberer war als die Villa. Grosses Kompliment, man hätte vom Boden essen können! Dazu kommt die unwahrscheinlich tolle Aussicht über den Lago Maggiore, vor allem auch von der Terrasse des Restaurants, wo auch das Frühstück serviert wird.

Von Anfang bis Ende top! Total herzlich-kompetenter Check in ( super netter Rezeptionist!) , dazu ein schönes Zimmer mit Blick über den Lago und ein hervorragendes Menü zum Abend. Alles klasse- definitiv ein Hotel, welches wir bald wieder aufsuchen werden.

Non seulement Villa Orselina répond à vos attentes en matière d'infrastructures, complètes, modernes, fonctionnelles et confortables mais vous êtes accueilli comme un invité et non seulement en tant que client. Dès votre arrivée, les échanges avec la réception vous permettent d'être chez vous, toute l'équipe du restaurant saura mettre en valeur l'excellente cuisine proposée et vous conseillera avec compétence en suivant vos goûts et préférences. Profitez du Spa et d'un moment de détente, là aussi la praticienne vous permettra de vous évadez des tracas quotidiens. L'équipe de ménage et la logistique de l'hôtel est, discrètement mais efficacement, à votre disposition. Félicitations pour votre accueil, votre gentillesse et votre professionnalisme ! Un Grand Hôtel dans lequel nous sommes accueillis par toute une équipe comme dans une pension de famille !

Gorgeous hotel with a magnificent view! Your stay commenced with an aperitivo in the patio, overlooking the panorama of Lago Maggiore. The service was top notch, with an extensive tour of all the facilities. I loved the floral arrangements that were spread across the property! The rooms are spacious and clean, featuring a kitchenette! A more old time feel with the interior but it’s so nice to have vast amounts of space! There are options to request different pillows. There are plenty of chaises for one to enjoy by the pool and various levels of the property. I wish I had the chance to explore the spa! The breakfast selection is good. Seating is offered indoors and outside, with fantastic service from the staff. The club sandwich was delicious from the restaurant, even if the meals are a dash pricey (but you are in Switzerland!!). Overall, you know you are in good hands! Plus, you have this beautiful view accompanying you wherever you are in the hotel!

This hotel sits above Locarno, which is easily reached by the funicular about 100 m away. They were very nice and let us see 2 or 3 rooms to select the one we liked best. 111 was our choice, it was above the garden and private. The swimming pool at this hotel is very good, heated to just the right degrees, 28 it has full sun all day and lots of soft lounge chairs, many in secluded areas. There is a pool restaurant and it was a nice salad and sandwich we ate there. Our bathroom was very unusual with a fabulous shower with incredible water jets and pressure, but the toilet had a fan that went on every time you sat down, that was annoying. We also ate 3 times in this one other restaurant which is also the breakfast room. We were not happy with most of the meals here, except the 1st one which was the mixed fish grill. That was a generous and nice dish of 4 fish varieties. We both lost weight eating nightly meals at the hotel but as it was a heatwave it was too much trouble to go down to the town and get back so we just stayed in the hotel. We lost weight as the portions of the main course portions were SO small as to be utterly stupid..and miserable. One night we waited 1.30 hours for our mains and were so hungry can you imagine how we felt when we received a tiny bowl of spaghetti and only 4 tagatellie as they wouldn't make it a main dish for me...... Apart from the unacceptable delay we found the restaurant so uncomfortable as it had NO AIR-CONDITIONING AT ALL ANYWHERE EXCEPT IN YOUR ROOM. even there it was pathetic, number 2 was high not number 3 and no one told us, I was so confused and found out on the 3rd day after calling reception as I thought the housekeeping kept turning it down but in fact they were turning it UP, from 3 to 2! The bed was a 3 star hotel mattress and the sheets were not up to a 5 star standard. I'd never return as, it was so hot in our room and all public areas. Maybe for winter or autumn. I cannot say or agree that this is a 5 star property, believe me it isn't. Small portions of food will Not get you a Michelin Star. Glamorous views are not enough for a 4 day's stay.

Das Abendessen im Orselina war ein Desaster: Das Gazpacho bestand vorwiegend aus klein gehackten Zwiebeln, die gebratene Entenleber war winzig klein, dafür total versalzen. Das Rindfleischgericht war extrem versalzen, so dass ich es nach dem ersten Bissen zurückgeben musste. Dass kein Salz auf dem Tisch stand ist unter diesen Umständen verständlich. Dass aber auch kein Pfeffer auf dem Tisch zu finden war, ist eher schwach. Zum Brot wurde in einem Schälchen ungefragt Olivenöl gereicht. Da ich Olivenöl nicht mag habe ich um Butter gebeten. Daraufhin wurden mir zwei Stückchen, steinharte, tiefgefrorene Butterstücke gebracht. Auf das Brot streichen - unmöglich! All dieses kulinarische Elend gipfelte noch in der Tatsache, dass eine geschlossene Festgesellschaft auf der leider offenen Terrasse feierte. Bereits durch genügend Alkohol beim vorgängigen Apéro im Hotelgarten enthemmt, brüllte jeder einzelne der Festgesellschaft derart laut herum, dass man sich auf der wunderschönen Terrasse lieber gewünscht hätte, man hätte sich sein Essen besser auf das Hotelzimmer bestellt. Alle Gäste reklamierten bei den Kellnern - Ich ebenso. Der Kellner zuckte die Achsel und meinte, ich sollte aufstehen und zur Reception gehen um mich zu beschweren. Meiner darauffolgenden Bitte, es möge jemand von der Direktion zu mir an den Tisch kommen wurde ignoriert. Dass die Egg Benedict zum Frühstück extra kosten ist für ein 5-Sterne Hotel schlicht unverschämt. Fazit: Schlechter kann man sein Geld nicht ausgeben.

Wir hatten ein midweek Angebot gebucht in der Suite (wir bekamen 211) wunderbarer Ausblick , tolle Ausstattung des Zimmers, Bad mit Wirlpoolwanne und Wellnessdusche, Hygiene Wc , zweites Wc, Küche und Essbereich alles top gepflegt und sauber. Das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Spa couple Treatment mit Balinesischer Massage war auch sehr wohltuend, der Wellnessbereich ist erstaunlich gut ausgestattet. Abendessen im Restaurant mit kleiner Speisekarte war gut, vom Sommelier bis zum Kellner perfekter Service. Wir haben die Kreationen des Küchenchefs nicht ganz so gelungen gefunden (wunderbar cremiges Risotto mit der Pampelmuse war uns ein wenig zu bitter im Abgang ) wobei das Handwerk (Konsistenz, Verarbeitung und Frische) wie erwartet auf Sterneniveau lag. Thunfischtartar mit grünem Apfel- da war für uns irgendwie der neutral gehaltene Fisch an der Säure des Apfels untergegangen. Filet im Teig war mit einer Pilzfarce keine wirkliche Überraschung. Im Sommer ist ja noch ein weiteres Restaurant offen, vielleicht hätte uns die Karte dort besser gepasst. Ich möchte noch erwähnen, das mir zum Geburtstag vom Hotel ein Prosecco und ein kleiner Schokokuchen mit Wunderkerze kredenzt wurde. Ich bekam bei der Lieferung ins Zimmer sogar ein Geburtstagsständchen! Da fühlt man sich wie zu Hause im Kreise von Freunden und Familie. Herzlichen Dank für diesen schönen Moment ! Der Zimmerservice ist schnell und die Auswahl beim Frühstück im Zimmer gut, Auswahl Abendessen im Zimmer war uns zu minimal. Preise sind dem Hotelniveau angemessen. Grundsätzlich haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Hotel absolut empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Dankeschön für diesen wunderschönen Aufenthalt !
