卡薩卡德鄉村莊園(Cascade Country Manor)

We booked based on the website and we’re shocked when we reached there going through 2.5km of gravel road. Nothing like the website completely run down. We had prepaid to stay from the 5th of Jan to the 9th of Jan. The lady by the name of Maika Goetze at the reception did not even on we were checking in, she even claimed they had no staff to clean up for us. The rooms had curtain rails broken and falling down, furniture scratched and looking tired and old. It was a huge let down and they refused to refund us. We were asked to send proof of our reservation which we did to an email address that did not match the website info@waterfallvalley.online, she then says she doesn’t have her laptop to check. We took her number 0677850855 to follow up on our refund through our travel agent. To date we have had no acknowledgment to our email or any response to our travel agent. We then had to book at Protea hotel in Franschhoek as we couldn’t have stayed at Soul Cascades Manor. They conned us and cheated us. We fear this will give South Africa a bad reputation and hurt other genuine operators. Tripadvisor should verify this place in its current state and protect their 5 star rating and guests like us from loosing our money to such unscrupulous deceiving operators. We are going to report them to the Tourism Council as well.

Cascade Manor is a gem hidden away in a kloof just outside Paarl with it's own waterfall. The teams hospitality is exceptional and really made us feel welcome and cared for in every possible way. The chefs creativity and good taste in balancing delicate flavours with a heartfelt meal was absolutely dilicious and much appreciated. Definitely an experience to return to.
