Besides the price (~$150CAD) of the 1 night stay, there wasn't anything good about the hotel. To start, when we arrived at the hotel around 9pm, the reception clerk was unable to find our booking. After searching through the system for 10-15 minutes, she was able to find the booking but seems someone had already checked-in into our room. The staff tried to call the person who processed the check-in but unable to reach the person. She then attempted to go to the room and knock to see if anyone was in the room. To my surprise, she said she heard a person snoring in the room. OMG! I cannot believe this hotel actually allowed someone to check-in without asking to see a piece of identification. After 20-30 minutes, the staff did check us into another room. The room was fair but had an 'old' building smell. The bathroom was 'old' as well but can see some parts were renewed. The toilet tank took 10-15 minutes to refill. We can hear people's foot steps and chatting in the outside hallway. The a/c was off when we got into the room but it felt cool. Reason being the cold air draft was coming in from the window. Breakfast was not good. The whole experience at this hotel/inn was terrible. Will never book La Quinta ever again.
