The room is great! Quite spacious with enough space for a family of four. There is a barbecue grill and kitchen as well as dishes and cooking utensils. Very good. But the service and hospitality is poor. The worst experience I’ve ever made! There is one restaurant that is always fully booked, but still has tables and chairs available. You have to please them to make up a table for you, very uncomfortable for a five star hotel! Then they have a lagoon bar that offers foods and drinks. First day 29. Dec there was a wedding, so the lagoon bar was closed for hotel guests. Food can be ordered to room, because restaurant is fully booked. We asked if there is a celebration for New Year’s Eve, but concierge told us it was cancelled because no people were interested in. On 31. Dec they closed lagoon bar again for hotel guest because suddenly they had a New Year’s Eve party, but not for us. On January 1st there was no room service…. Check out was the same unfriendly treatment as during check-in… If you don’t mind to spent your holidays like a tenant it’s a great place. As a hotel guest better try another one. We will not come back here!

Good vibes and have big swimming pool

Virtually NO WiFi. “Full bars” but would timeout before it connected to anything 99% of the time (over numerous days). Worked in lobby. Rude staff when you made any request/complaint. Uninspiring pool. Loud (can hear courtyard when you try to sleep). Would not stay here again.

THE GOOD STUFF - the pools area and landscaping is lovely and well maintained - Lagoon Bar is very nice - all the staff I dealt with were pleasant and professional - they fully refunded my last night when I left a day early due to the noise, without me even having to ask for a refund. A very pleasant surprise. THE NOT-SO-GOOD STUFF - hotel wifi was so poor (ok for email, but video dropped out and buffered endlessly) that I used my phone's hotspot instead - no fan in the bathroom meant the room was hot and humid after a shower - STUDIO ROOM, which is what I had, is basic and tiny (most assuredly not "spacious" as the hotel website says). The website also says: "simple yet luxurious" -- simple, yes, but I saw no luxury! Not even a bathrobe in the closet. The bathroom is large, but the living area of the room has maybe 1m of clearance around the bed. (see photo) There is no comfortable chair to sit on, so the choice is the bed or a 'desk chair' that looks like a cast-off from a dining area. The balcony chairs are equally uncomfortable but in a totally different way -- no back support, and you slump, you don't sit. (see photo of chairs) Two people would constantly be in each others' way in that room. - I could rarely sit (or stand!) on the balcony, or even open the door for air, due to... - THE NOISE from the open-air restaurant and bar. I had the immense misfortune to be given room 223, directly above both. (I'm sure other nearby rooms had the noise just as bad.) In addition to the noise, the smell of the food drove me off the balcony -- the smell of food is appealing only if you are about to eat it; otherwise, it is not welcome and not pleasant, particularly if the food is meat and you are a vegetarian. - THE WEDDING RECEPTION on Sunday evening was even noisier than the general restaurant, with the addition of amplified speeches and party music going thump-thump. That was the last straw, and I jumped online to book somewhere else. - LIVE MUSIC on Sunday afternoon in the lagoon bar. Also open air. No escape. Bottom Line: Would I stay here again? NO.

Kazumi and Natalie at the front desk made the whole experience of our trip outstanding!!! These ladies are an absolute asset to this resort. Everything was so good. Clean pool. Plenty of sun chairs. Lagoon bar food and drinks were very impressive. Alain at the lagoon bar was so attentive and lovely. I would definitely come back here again. My family and I had a wonderful time! The only thing I found weird was the kitchen closes at 8:30pm but when I walked around and went to other restaurants outside of the resort, I realised it’s the same thing all over Palm Cove.

Stayed for 3 nights. Had a deal with an external management group so didn’t deal with reception staff but the staff at the bar and restaurant were great. Beautiful resort with stunning gardens. Nice walk to town on the beach and being a bit away from the Main Street it’s really quiet, especially at night. Great place to stay. Would highly recommend.
