This was possibly the most disappointing hotel stay I have ever experienced. If you pay $60 for a motel, you know what you’re getting. If you’re paying nearly $600 a night, you’re expecting something pretty great. Alas- not here. Tired decor, shabby bare rooms with broken drawers, cracked walls and cheap plastic furnishings. The dark inter-room corridors were like a rundown Hollywood apar**ent block. We were so shocked. The pool area was rammed with tables and chairs- you’re literally stepping into other guest’s breakfast to get in and out of the water. We cut our stay short and left early the morning after we arrived to change hotels. I will say that the staff were really helpful and friendly.

The pictures could not be more misleading. This hotel is super outdated, hotel beds are old and uncomfortable, and you can hear everything from outside. Our room had a terrible sewage smell, and our hotel shower would back up every time we used it. For $400/night it’s a total rip off. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

I actually forgot my credit card, and the front desk worked so hard to accommodate me and find a solution! They even gave me a glass of sparkling wine while I waited for it to be resolved. The only issue I had was I was first given a room overlooking the parking lot, but they moved me to a nicer view immediately. Unfortunately, I had a hard time locking the patio door in this room and getting the drapes shut. But I'll mention it tomorrow and I'll bet they fix it right away. I love this place! Really enjoy their restaurant/bar to sit and work and get a bite.

I felt so comfortable and happy and at home at this property! Last week I stayed for the same price at one of the big impersonal hotels and didn't like it at all. At the Avalon I can sit on my balcony and listen to the cool music they play at the pool with a great cocktail from their cute, friendly bar and feel like I'm part of something. The staff were extremely sweet. I'm just all in. Coming back next week and the week after since business is bring me to PS again, and I'm really looking forward to it

The property is getting old and the rooms need updating. We have stayed here many times and feel the standards are slipping. The staff are greet and the general layout of the property and pool options are good. The location is also perfect. We were also supposed to get a bottle of wine on arrival and it didn’t show up.

It was a lovely stay! The music and volume level was perfect, great drinks from John at the bar, delicious food on site, very friendly and accommodating staff, lush and comfortable pools, and such a short walk to downtown! We will be back!

The resort was quaint and lovely. Beautiful grounds and pools in a garden environment. The service from the staff was outstanding. Room was a good size. It was very clean and comfortable. Furnishings are sp**** and little worn but the bed was very comfortable with nice linens and pillows. Closet space was very small and there was no dresser so we had to leave most of our clothes in our suitcases.

Love the chill, cool vibe of the property and bungalows. Some of the room/building aspects are a tiny bit dated, but really cool and friendly staff. I asked for a few things and they delivered with a smile, immediately. Also, there is on-site valet parking. From this property you can walk to downtown restaurants, the Palm Springs Art Museum, Taquitz Canyon trailhead and shopping, or easily grab Uber/Lyft. I will definitely stay here again.

I really wanted to like this property, but unfortunately it doesn't deliver. The main pool filter was broken with thousands of dead flies on the water surface. Reported it twice, no action. Bedroom doors have an inch gap at the base so it's very noisy. The sliders are old single pain and its noisy. The final day of our stay we had a do not disturb sign on our room, but the cleaner started banging on the door at 8:15... I pointed this out to her when I answered the door, but then she pretended to only speak Spanish. I get she wants us out she can clean the room for the next guest, but I'm a current paying guest??? I shred my frustration with the guy at reception and his response was "She's not in my depar**ent" No one asked me how my stay was when I checked out and we spent a ton of money on food and drink.
