Arriving by foot (like us), or car, this family run, boutique, hotel certainly delivers a wow factor. You receive a pleasant greeting to this artistic and regal looking 31 room resort (6 are the refurbished attic rooms). The rooms (ours was a double) are nicely decorated although the comfy beds are rather low! Great balcony that furnishes you with amazing views. We enjoyed the west coast with its majestic cliffs, sandy beaches and, of course, the sunsets! The shower is OK but nothing to write home about. Dinning comes via a well-stocked kitchen that provided local sourced produce care of their talented chef. Prices are reasonable if you don’t have a pre-arranged paid meal. Breakfast in served in the lower dinning area, either in-doors or as most choose to do on the delightful terrace. It is self service with a mix of continental or cooked eggs and bacon. The bread is delivered direct from the nearby bakery and is wonderful. However, breakfast starts at 8 a.m. and for the hardy walkers an earlier eating time would have proved helpful. It was too chilly to try the pool, which looked delightful nevertheless. The guest areas of the hotel have an array of artifacts, pictures and photographs which give an insight to the local history and culture. The bar is well run although you would miss out if you did not avail yourself of the local village bars just a short walk downhill. For those with their own transport the hotel has private parking.
