This was our third stay at this hotel over a period of several years and I posted a very positive review in 2014. Oh, how things have changed here! I begin with the most serious of the offenses and indignities we suffered during our 5-night stay. I was entrapped in the hotel's elevator for a period of 10-15 minutes before the staff registered any response to the emergency alarm bell or my pounding on the elevator door. When a maintenance employee finally arrived, he said that the alarm bell notified the off-premises elevator service company rather than the hotel itself. I knew this was not accurate as I could clearly hear the alarm when I repeatedly pressed it. When I was finally liberated from the elevator and spoke with the on-duty manager, he apologized and said he had been in the ”back office” and had not heard the alarm. The general manager of the hotel also stated that she regretted the ”inconvenience.” I think this event qualified substantially above the level of ”inconvenience” and the manager's proffer of a fractional portion of the substantial Marriott points I had used for my stay was wholly inadequate for the life-threatening emergency that could well have been the case. In addition to this incident, we experienced an appalling indifference and lack of basic service from the staff of the hotel, including (1) absence of a bellman to assist with our bags upon arrival at the hotel by taxi ,(2) failure to deliver an additional luggage rack to the room following request of the bellman, (3) failure of housekeeping staff to make up the room for a period of two hours and after three requests when we inadvertently left the French-language ”do not disturb” sign on our door, (4) failure to respond to three or more requests for towels that had not been left by the housekeeper, and (5) recommendation by the newest and least-experienced junior concierge of an Asian restaurant that displayed a ”closed” sign when we arrived and where no employees spoke English or could provide an English-language menu. (In fact, with regard to the restaurant, the chief concierge told us the next day that she had ”never heard of it.”) We chose this hotel because we had previously had positive experiences, notwithstanding the fact that the rooms are extremely small (even with our upgrade from a ”cubby hole” to a ”shoebox-sized” room). The hotel's common area is beautifully decorated and the rooms are well-appointed despite their size. The problem with this hotel boils down to indifferent management and that is really a shame. It could be so much more!

Amazing amazing amazing time spent last week at this hotel. The staff were so wonderful!! I had made the mistake of booking through a 3rd party, and when I realized the reservation was not as expected (due to 3rd party error), Kimpton (this hotel especially) bent over backwards to make sure we had a fantastic stay. Upgraded to the most beautiful suite with several balconies overlooking the city... just magnificent. I was so excited to stay here and it did not disappoint. Tasteful and modern furnishings makes this hotel-- wonderful deep soaking tub, exceptionally comfortable bed and linens...but nothing like the staff-- THE STAFF!!! Everyone who works here is so kind and helpful and nice to converse with... Kwame (who we never met, but made the magic happen :), Pilar, Hermance, Matthiew, all lovely... Be sure to check out the Sequoia rooftop bar for wonderful views and drinks.

工作人員、禮賓人員和服務都很棒。它確實有一台小電梯,但它是新的,不適用於足球隊。早餐有很棒的咖啡和出發的選擇。早餐體驗很愉快,開始一天很棒。房間乾淨,更新,淋浴好,亞麻布,還有保險箱。很小,但我們不打算在房間呆上任何時間。位置很好,步行到地鐵(因爲罷工沒有使用)步行到當地火車站,還有羅斯ey巴士,也不錯用。我們進來的時候巴士沒開,所以我們坐了一輛價格過高的出租車。(別那樣做)。如果你像我們一樣平均每天3-4英里,步行很短,去盧浮宮,去康科德廣場,橘子園,D'Orsay,和城市島。(在另一個方向,埃菲爾鐵塔不遠)。附近有很多餐廳,自動取款機,雜貨店。再次,工作人員對我們糟糕的法語很有幫助,而且一切都很好。

This part of Paris is vibrant, alive and filled with wonderful restaurants, cafes and bars. Hotel Stendhal Place Vendome is intimate, cosy, comfortable typically French and chic. The team are warm, friendly and accommodating and the rooms/suites are of a reasonable size given the comparison of other hotels in Paris in this category. The hotel uses beautiful Clarins products throughout their bathrooms, Nespresso coffee pods are widely available and the Wi-Fi is quite good. It’s easy to get around on foot, alternatively the closest Metro station, Opera is located within a 5 minute walk. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Stendhal Place Vendome again in the future.

Stayed three nights at this luxurious Hotel. The room was large, with a most comfortable bed. The room was exceptionally clean and organized. The housekeeping supervisor knocked on my door to ensure the housekeeping of the room was appropriate. To which it was. The Hotel had that wonderful Parisian feel. My experience from check in to check out was 5 star. The daily breakfast was delicious. Excellent variety of food. The Hotel staff were all helpful and friendly. The Hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to many attractions. As well, steps to the Metro. I highly recommend this exceptional property.

Staff greeted us with a cooling drink after a long journey. Receptionist was able to check us in early and our bags were brought to the room. High level of service. We booked the Deluxe room on top floor . Good size room. It was clean and bathroom rain shower had decent pressure . Room needed more lighting and seats were too dainty. Bedside table were too small and prefer if room had USB charger points . The twin beds were of decent size but the mattress protector were not of breathable material which made the bed hot.Prefer if they had razor and toothbrush and toothpaste amenities for a 4*+ hotel. Breakfast was good with good bread and cheese selection. Coffee was good and service was attentive. Nice dinning room . We were able to leave our luggage after check out. Location was 4 minutes in or less walk to 2 Metro stations and plenty of Asian restaurants nearby .
