My wife and I enjoyed a two-night stay at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Parkersburg, West Virginia from June 13-15, 2025. The suite was very clean with like-new appointments. The king-size bed was super comfortable. The bathroom and shower were spotless. Generous closet space. Plenty of convenient parking. The breakfast fare was delicious with both hot or cold choices. Definitely a five-star experience and we would gladly stay there again.

Hotel is in a great location within walking distance to downtown and this is why we picked to stay here, and also we are Marriott Members. The check In staff was polite and nice. We were on the 4th floor and our room smelled really strong of vinegar. It was not the cleanest marriott we have stayed in, the appliances were all smeared and gross looking, the tile floor had dirt all pushed against the baseboard, baseboards were all damaged and there was mold like substance in the shower. The room was nice and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has free breakfast which is your typical terrible hotel breakfast. There aren't alot of options in parkersburg to stay and this location is convenient, just not the cleanest Marriott I have stayed in

Hotel was okay. Really bizarre layout on first floor for elevators and front desk and all. Parking is limited next to hotel and overflow parks across the street. Overall, visit was fine. Except . . . the television in the breakfast room had Fox "news" on. Personally, I think hotel public areas would do well to not have political channels on as it offends one customer for every one it pleases. Stick to The Weather Channel or HGTV.

Over night business trip. Great location, warm greeting and a smooth check in process. My platinum status was recognized and appreciated. Minor concern was room cleanliness as missed opportunities was observed. Breakfast spread was your typical Towne place hotel breakfast. I would definitely return to the property.

We used to live in Parkersburg and the hotel that is here now is light years beyond what used to be here. This is a great addition to the area, the service is above average, and the cost is reasonable. One hint, if you are a light sleeper get a room on the back side of the hotel, the front faces a main road and there are quite a few sirens at night, nothing the hotel can do about that. When I come back to this area and I will stay here again and you should too.

We stayed at the hotel because it was conveniently located as a stop point for a multi-day road trip. The room was comfortable and clean. The parking lot is right across the street. The breakfast was in line with expectations with a nice seating area.

Awesome reception and welcome with an escort to walk around area. Solid Fitness Center. Very clean. Quiet. Love having full kitchen. Liked being downtown for our morning walk. Great breakfast area. The hotel was very open and roomy even in hallways.

Room was clean and comfy. Loved the location. Subtracted one star for noise from street. We had a 2 bedroom room. Breakfast was good and staff was awesome. No oven in the rooms so don't plan to cook anything that needs to be baked. Will stay here again.

I stayed here on a few separate occasions for business. Since I had to be downtown, the location was perfect - walking distance to almost everything in the historic area. I had the smallest of the room types, but thought it was very cleverly laid out to maximize the available space. The kitchenette was just inside the door, but came complete with a full-size refrigerator, a real coffee pot, two burner induction stove, microwave, pots, pans, and place setting for four (or one person for four meals). There's even a little dishwasher! According to the signs, you could also borrow additional kitchen equipment if you needed it. There's a small corner with a sofa, and then the bed is all the way in the back, behind the small closet and big bathroom. There's also a nice swimming pool, and a fitness center, all very clean and well maintained. I only had to stay one night, but I could see this being a good place for a more extended business stay, too. But, I'd definitely want a bigger suite if it was more than just me and my spouse, or if the two of us were there for more than a night or two.

We had a king suite (414 sq. Ft.) and were very comfortable. We were in town to visit family & it was roomy enough to have children & grandchildren visit us. The full-size kitchen was an added bonus. The shower was spacious and there was plenty of storage in the bath. The hotel is within walking distance of the historic Blennerhassett hotel with fine dining and 2 museums.

Clean, safe,comfortable, friendly. Stopped by for a single night , just passing through. The park near the river had a grand sunset, delightful walk through the Juliann historic homes at sunrise. Excellent dinner at the nearby Lebanese restaurant.

This was a really nice hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Indoor pool and laundry facilities plus a free breakfast with lots of choices and very good! We stayed on a Monday and all the nearby restaurants were closed. Even the pubs were closed. Drove around for about a half an hour and ended up with fast food that was not very tasty!

Hotel is very new and well laid out. Staff are professional and attentive. Key thing to know is that it's next to a train line so you'll hear it (loud and clear) as you try to rest and relax. Bring headphones or earplugs :(

My mom, baby and I traveled to Charlotte, NC from Detroit, MI and needed a half way point to stop. My husband booked this hotel for us on our way home and we couldn’t have been happier. We had the two bedroom suite which had a kitchenette and living room area. We really needed a two bedroom setup so that the little one could sleep during her normal sleep schedule and allowing us to lounge and watch television. We were really happy. Breakfast was nothing spectacular but the room and other amenities made up for it.
