莫蓋恩陶精品酒店(Boutique Hotel Morgentau)

Das Hotel befindet sich auf der Landzunge zwischen Inn und Donau. Da wir gerade zur Hochwasserzeit da waren, war es doch etwas speziell. Überall die Wasserschutzverbauungen und die Feuerwehr, welche pausenlos im Einsatz stand. Das Hotel selbst ist schon recht in die Jahre gekommen, bietet aber einen guten Charme. Die Zimmer sind teilrenoviert und teilweise auch noch nicht ganz fertig. Jedoch sind diese recht geräumig. Leider fehlte ein Schrank, jedoch waren ein offenes Gestell und ein Pult vorhanden. Die Betten war gut, allerdings war es sehr warm im Zimmer. Der eingestellte Ventilator half nicht viel. Das Badezimmer war mit Dusche versehen, deren Türe jedoch der Badezimmertüre in die Quere kam. Trotzallem waren wir sehr zufrieden. Leider sind die Treppen sehr steil und es gibt keinen Lift. Das Personal ist jedoch sehr hilfsbereit in allen Teilen und hilft auch das Gepäck nach oben zu tragen. Auf Voranmeldung bekommt man eventuell einer der raren Parkplätze vor dem Haus. Das Frühstück wird serviert, vier Möglichkeiten stehen zur Auswahl. Jedoch kann man auch Wünsche anbringen, welche gerne umgesetzt werden. Der Zimmerpreis bewegt sich im vernünftigen Rahmen, das Frühstück muss separat dazugebucht werden. Für einen Kurzaufenthalt sicher eine gute Wahl.

Das kleine Hotel liegt in einem stilvollen Altbau mit nur wenigen Zimmern, die alle unterschiedlich sind. Die besten haben einen herrlichen Blick auf die Donau. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit dem Fenster zu Hof, das wir uns bewusst ausgesucht hatten, da es deutlich preiswerter war, aber auch sehr gemütlich. Mineralwasser steht kostenlos zur Verfügung, auch ein Wasserkocher mit Kaffee und Tee. Die zentrale Selbstbedienungs-Minibar hat sehr moderate Preise.

Ein wunderbar renoviertes Kleinod in der Altstadt von Passau. Komme sehr gerne wieder!

Very cute and hands on one of the best ‘boutique hotels’ I’ve ever stayed! Passau itself is this hidden gem German city. Then you stay at Morgentau and you look over the Danube and it’s wheee romantic and cool at same time! Just a few steps from where all happens in the old town and the delta where river inn and the wonderful blue Danube meet. Spectacular and beautiful.

There was no service at check in and no housekeeping service at all during our stay.

Our room had a great view of the Danube. Very comfy. And central location. The check in happens in the afternoon. You can have breakfast but you have to order it. Not a buffet. I really liked the place. No AC but the room had a big portable fan that worked well and you can open the window.

Absolutely unacceptable. Not a hotel, but rather a self-service B&B. Booked via HRS as the location seems (and is) good for the Old Town. Check in at 19.30 was weird: Nobody at reception on a Saturday evening. Self-check in with door code access. The room size (Room 4) was totally unacceptable. Room not more than 2m wide, single Bed, table not large enough to hold more than a coffeemaker, grotesque shower with not even enough space to put down accessories. No hair dryer, highly overpriced and not even an apology upon departure. Evidently, they are making their money with one-timers. Stay off.

Had a ine night stay here in one of the rooms with a view of the Danube riber and the castles above. Its worth it to pay extra to get that view. The room themselves were quite new with excellent beds and great decoration. The bathroom on the other hand was not that modern and spacious but it was clean. Service was good, check in and check out were done quickly and efficiently. The hotel is on a great l location close to city centre. Well worth it to stay there when in Passau.

January in Germany next to the Danube is cold and damp, but this Hotel offers you a warm, relaxed refuge. The room we had offered a fantastic view of the river and was furnished in a simplistic but sophisticated way making it feel homely. Situated within the Old Town you can walk to the major sights and nearby restaurants with ease, then return through silent (and in winter, foggy) streets to a restful sleep.
