Thorn Creek Cottage is 3 bedroom, 2 bath, spacious cottage on 60 acres of private land and one half-mile of spring-fed native trout stream, great for fly fishing. This property is 5 minutes from Thorn Spring Park, also central to many of Pendelton County's attractions, such as Fisher Mountian Golf Club & Resort. this is a three bedroom house that sits behind a small country church. It is all on one floor. There is a ramp going into the house from the back. the house was totally renovated in 2020. the kitchen is brand new. the original bathroom was gutted and remodeled and another bathroom was added. The house has one bedroom with a king bed, one bedroom with queen bed and one bedroom with full bed. There is a large living room and dining room and a beautiful front porch where you can watch the deer in the evenings. The house has a lovely gas fireplace for wintertime enjoyment. We have update the internet with Starlink that will allow you all the speed you need to upload and download. While there is no cell phone service here, there is a land line and you can use your cell phones through the internet. You are a mile from South Mill Creek Lake with great trout, bass, catfish,crappie and bluegill fishing. you are minutes from all the local trout fishing rivers and streams that are stocked from October to May. You can kayak on the lake if you like. you are 10 minutes from Reeds Creek and Smoke Hole to Rock Climb and 45 minutes to Seneca Rocks, Dolly Sods and Spruce Knob. Travel a bit further and you can spend sometime at Blackwater falls. Chad’s place has a furnished front porch and back patio where you can enjoy the spacious yard area for family fun activities such as corn hole, grilling, or relaxing by the fire pit! Fire wood is available for purchase on site for $5.00. We do allow pets for an extra charge of $50 per stay. We also have an extra cot and air mattress in the master bathroom closet if you would like to use those also. If you are a fisherman, this is the place for you. You are one mile from the entrance to smoke hole. You are right at all the stocked streams and rivers from Monterey Virginia to Petersburg WV. You are only 7 miles from South Mill Creek Lake which has great trout fishing as well as bass, catfish, crappie and bluegill. If you are a rock climber, you can literally walk to climbing at Reeds Creek and are a few miles from climbing in smoke hole and if you want to climb seneca rocks, you are 40 minutes away. You are 40 minutes from Dolly Sods and Spruce knob and an hour from Black Water Falls. This house has lots of room for family gatherings and spending time with friends.
