Had a most enjoyable week here. Perfect base to tour the Lake District. Ideally situated near city centre and bus station, 5 mins away, train station and castle 10 minutes, tourist info and museum just around the corner. Pleasant room with clean modern en suite bathroom. Great breakfast and comfy bed. Well looked after by Susan and Archie. Hope to return next year.

We booked for one night as a child free getaway and was pleasantly surprised at the standard of the room given the very reasonable price. The manager was friendly and welcoming and we will definitely try to stay again when we are in the area. The selection of drinks and snacks in the room was a great treat before bed. My

Myself and son had an amazing 3 night stay. Room spotless, shower fantastic, Breakfast lots of variety and super tasty 5 star thanks chef!. Susan very attentive and the brownies, coffee/tea in rooms replenished daily, nothing too much trouble. You have an amazing Guest House and it certainly shows how much work you put into your business, certainly a home from home. Thankyou a treasured memory.

Nice rooms Nice breakfast Nice host I had a really good stay Friday and Saturday night Bed was comfy and bedding felt nice The room was large and airy Bathroom was nice and clean and the shower was good Breakfast was great with lots of choice of cereals, fruit, muesli etc. plus full English either regular or veggie plus a smoked salmon option All cooked nice and set me up for a day in the hills Recommend!!

Booked last minute and what a find. Susan was a great host. Very informative and friendly. The accommodation is excellent. Lovely big and very clean room. Breakfast was outstanding. Plentiful and very hot. Well done. Will definitely make Albany House our choice when in the are again. Even gave us a ticket so as to park in Permit Holders Only area.

Fantastic B&B, located in the centre of town with great access to shops, bars and restaurants. Service was excellent, lovely friendly welcome, room and facilities all very good and decor modern and cleaned daily, bed very comfy and after long walks helped with the sleep. Breakfast is absolutely top notch & sets you right up for the day. Highly recommended.

We stopped over for a night on our way from Scotland, and we had a very comfortable time. The room had everything we could want and all spotlessly clean. We had a delicious breakfast with top quality ingredients - we wish we could have stayed longer in Penrith. All in all, highly recommended.

Super friendly service, from check in to check out, really nice comfortable room with a clean and tidy appearance, shower room wad also clean as a whistle, good location a short walk from the town centres bars and restaurants, and that breakfast!!! Wow, up there with the best I have ever had, highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in the Penrith area

Pleasant welcome, from the owner despite us arriving late. Lovely decor throughout. Excellent breakfast selection to cater for all tastes. Couldn't fault it and will definitely use this place again. Close to the town centre but far enough away not to hear the night life and traffic.

Stayed one night on a business trip. Everything was provided and well catered for. Location was great to grab something to eat in the town centre. Breakfast was served lovely and plenty of options to choose from. Would stay there again, when in the area.

A great B&B, very well looked after and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable rooms with everything catered for. Very pleasant hosts. Breakfast and the choice was excellent. A lot of thought has obviously gone into how to make the guests feel comfortable and enjoy their stay.

Myself and my daughter had such a lovely 4 night stay here. The B&B is really well located, being less than a 5 minute walk into the centre of Penrith. Our room was immaculately clean and very comfortable and cosy. The en-suite bathroom looked very new and the shower was fantastic! I would definitely recommend the cooked breakfast too as it was amazing and comes with a wide array of juices, yoghurts, fruit salad, etc. But the best thing was definitely the host Susan who genuinely couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay, such as helping us with the best way to navigate the local parking restrictions (so we didn’t have to pay for parking once in Penrith), suggestions on places to visit and even cooking breakfast items for my daughter that were not on the menu!

We stayed here for two nights at the end of May and were delighted with the place. We were greeted by the owner who explained the local car parking and showed us to our room. The room was very spacious, at the front of the building with a sitting area and good bathroom. The chocolate brownies supplied on the tea tray were much appreciated. Breakfast was also excellent with cooked food available as well as cereals, yoghurt and fresh fruit. The cafetiere of coffee was also a very good start to the day. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend Albany House as it is also a short walk (5 to 10 mins) from the centre of Penrith.

Very friendly welcoming owner. One night stay on a cycling event, arrived soaking wet, landlady offered to wash my kit at no extra charge. Breakfast was excellent full English, more than I could eat, bathroom was pristine as was the accommodation
