海灣民宿(Bay Lodge)

Bay Lodge is a lovely bright and airy home. I call it a home because that is what it felt like the owners are very welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Bed linen and towels are pristine but bath towel could be bigger for me. Breakfast was fantastic well cooked and well presented with a cheery smile. Would not hesitate in stopping here again. Thank you

First class B&B. Arrived early expecting to have to wander round town for an hour, but recieved phone call to say room was ready. Lovely hosts - couldn't do more to make you welcome. Excellent room, with balcony overlooking the sea. Perfect breakfast to set you up for the day. Added bonus of free parking. Very highly recommended.

Tolles kleines Hotel, familengeführt mit viel Leidenschaft und Engagement. Top Frühstück, alles sehr sauber und kundenorientiert. Bett und Matratze sehr angenehm. Brachten mich noch zum Bahnhof! Jederzeit gerne wieder. 100% zu Empfehlen!

The breakfasts are unbeatable with a wide menu choice and the hosts go that extra mile to please – even to the point of offering us a lift to the station so we didn’t have to get wet. Our third time here and hopefully not the last!

I confess to being baffled at some of the reviews of the Bay Lodge. Having said that, Clare was warm, welcoming and efficient, the breakfast was good - the individual bowls of fruit were a very nice touch - and there is a lovely view of St Michael's Mount from the landing. The room was comfortable, although the duvets were thin and narrow and the bathroom tiny. Bending over the sink is a hazard as you may well set off the automatic soap dispenser into your hair. But the reason I will not be returning is Kevin. At least I assume that's who he was, as he didn't introduce himself, nor greet us in any way. When my friend and I explained who we were we got an unsmiling "I know who you are" in response. When we made a perfectly reasonable request, instead of a polite explanation as to why it wasn't possible, we were treated to a lengthy rant. I have stayed in many hotels in many different places and have never experienced such spectacular rudeness. I write this with a heavy heart as Clare worked very hard to make our stay comfortable but it was memorable for the wrong reason.

We had a two night stay and it was a great place to spend a short trip in cornwall. It is very accessible to get around the area. The room is big enough for the four of us. Very clean and tidy that we didnt hesitate to use the towels. In all of our travels, it us one of the best places we stayed in. Claire and Kevin are great host and attentive to our needs and request. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast which is better than paying in a restaurant. We would definitely stay again if we decided to return next summer.

Very conveniently located a short walk from town. Very clean, friendly and welcoming. Run by a couple who clearly care about the service they provide and breakfast was excellent. We would definitely use again and thoroughly recommend it

Pleasant B&B, 10 minute walk from train station and 20 minutes from town centre. Friendly hosts, good breakfast (vegetarian). Small single room with balcony and sea view. All facilities. Good value. Would stay again.
