We had booked a one-bedroom apartment specifically because it advertised an in-room washing machine and dryer, which I had planned to use at this point in our interstate holiday. Upon entering our allocated room, we discovered that we had instead been given an accessible one-bedroom apartment with no washing machine or dryer. We immediately contacted reception regarding this issue and were informed that our originally allocated room had an electrical maintenance issue. It is quite disappointing that we were not informed of this change at the time of check-in. Instead, we were advised that we could take our laundry to reception or use the shared facilities on level 1. We had specifically chosen this hotel for the convenience of in-room laundry facilities, and the room change significantly impacted our stay. Additionally, the bathroom in the room we were given had a constant bad smell, especially when the shower was turned on, and the shower curtain was mouldy along the bottom. This further detracted from our experience. Days before the booking, I received a pre-check-in form via email to fill in. It showed an accessible room, which I questioned with the hotel but received no response. This indicates that the hotel was aware of the issue before our arrival and did not inform us, which would have been helpful as we could have made other arrangements. Not to mention we were not informed of this during check in, or offered any form of compensation for the room change. I have contacted the hotel about this twice in the 2 weeks since our stay and have still not received a response. Overall, the lack of communication from this hotel is very disappointing.

Didn’t get a wink of sleep. The plumbing was terrible, I could hear flushes from other apartments. Made a horrible loud noise which kept me awake all night. I made a complaint to the reception, They said they’d send a cleaner up, however they never came. there was also mould in the bathroom. Also our room was nothing like the pictures, in the pictures you get tree or garden views. We got a run down ally view opposite other apartments where they could look right in. There was no privacy.

The A/C System even though turned off made a terrible noise all night. Told nothing they could do and also told no complaints procedure by staff. Toilet smelt like a public urinal so had to get the cleaner back to clean it.

This was my 2nd stay at Quest Mounts Bay Road and will also be the last. On my first stay I’ve complained at front desk about a banging sound which kept me awake. This was by the desk clerk waived away that this was coming from Jacobs Ladder and that so many people are there exercising even during the night. In the survey I received from them a few days later I also mentioned this in my feedback for which I also received a reply from the Front Office Manager that ‘this issue will not reoccur’. In my 2nd stay I unfortunately was confronted with this noise again, after further investigation we found out that this is coming from the lift. We complained straight away at the front desk and the feedback we received was that this issue is known but it’s a design issue of the building and the half of the rooms (around the lift) are impacted by this noise and they can’t do anything about it. When asking why nothing is done about it, the clerk responded that it’s more a problem of light sleepers. On my request if they could move us to another room, I received the feedback that they were fully booked. This felt however as just an excuse to brush me off and no apology was given and the desk clerk basically didn’t want to be bothered. At my check out I mentioned that our night’s sleep was heavily impacted by this sound. The person at the desk said ‘we will have it checked’. Strangely enough, this person was the Front Office Manager who earlier sent me a message on my 1st stay that this will be fixed which raised the question if this is even fixable and how, if the management of Quest even cares if their guests have a good night rest. Based on this and also because of the maintenance and cleaning backlog I saw in my room (see pictures) I will in the future stay in Perth somewhere else. My recommendation for anyone who wants a good night’s sleep, book somewhere else as there’s a 50/50 chance you will be confronted with this noise.

Been before - Love it. Great location - helpful friendly staff. Will go again..........and again. Close to Jacobs ladder.... and kitchen facilities are great. Nice size fridge and the extra large bed is a huge bonus.

Very convenient, modern decoration, nice kitchenette, big room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, close to kings park, quiet location, laundry available could be crowded in some evenings, overall it's a nice apartment to stay.

Perfect for short and long stay. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Walking distance to main CBD. Safety measures are good and place is secure. Would recommend this place to others for business and leisure visits

Apartment accommodation was excellent. All the facilities were available. Close to the city centre and public transport. Comfortable bed, cooking facilities available in the room, clean and tidy. Enjoyed our stay.

The Quest Mounts Bay Road Was a very nice place to stay in a busy section of Perth. We had a nice 2 room apartment on an upper floor by elevator. The lady at the front desk let us park in one of the two spaces by the front door. Otherwise we would have to driven to a parking garage several blocks away. Also there was a small bar right next door that served hamburgers for dinner.

Perfect base for Perth. Walking distance from city centre and rail/bus network. Clean room and helpful staff.
