I used to enjoy staying at the Pacifica Suites many years ago. It was a beautiful place for families to stay, and the hot breakfast was a huge bonus. During this stay, the hotel felt really run down, old, and overpriced. The bathroom shower head and toilet were worn and stained. The toiletries provided were cheap and ineffective. There's not even a soap dish near the sink. The sofa bed was super uncomfortable, and the bedding was stained. We had to call for pillows and a blanket to be delivered. The grounds were not well kept (e.g., overgrown bushes on the outdoor staircase). There is no food or fresh coffee items (even though many hotels continued to offer packaged breakfast items even during covid). And why do they charge $10 per day for a space in an open parking lot?! Our 2 night stay was super expensive and uncomfortable and felt like a big rip-off. I would never stay at Pacific Suites again.

Not what you'd expect from a Hilton. Not what you'd expect from a $350 night room. This is an outdated hotel, the rooms are really poorly appointed - I had a table and a low seat (only one seat?), and no desk or working area. The bathroom looks like a typical low-rent motel bathroom, with a walk-in shower which you cannot turn the water on (to warm up) without getting soaked. There wasn't a coffee maker in the room which was also not what one would expect but the staff did bring me one. Staff in the hotel were excellent, some of the friendliest I've had. The restaurant was good but as for what they charged for the rooms, I feel like I was ripped off. These are $150 a night rooms. Complaint already sent to Hilton.

I had a bit of trepidation booking this hotel, but didn't have much of choice as everything was booked or super expensive for UCSB's open house for admitted students. Turns out it was the nicest Motel 6 I've ever stayed in. Room was small, but furniture was nicer than other Motel 6's and water pressure was great. Same soap/shampoo/towels as other Motel 6's, but it was nice that room seemed and felt a step above other Motel 6's. We did pay more for this Motel 6 than other locations, but I chalk that up to the UCSB event and it being Santa Barbara.
