We are a couple in our 40s from Scotland. This hotel deserves more than 3 stars. The staff are so helpful and we got an upgrade to a superior hut as it was my 40th birthday. This is a very peaceful secluded area of phi phi island and good to enjoy the slower life. The food was delicious. There are only a few bars and restaurants in walking distance and these all stop serving at 10pm. The air conditioning is also not the best in the room as with them being huts it’s like a sauna when you first walk in. Please pack plenty of mosquito repellent as I had so many bites when I stayed here. We came over in the ferry and left our luggage back in our Phuket hotel, I would highly recommend bringing a small bag only here as it’s all boat transport. Apart from the small negatives I would not hesitate in returning to this tranquil hotel. Take a boat trip round the rest of the island. Bring Bahts too as there is no atm in this part. Simply stunning location

You can’t find a more spectacular location to stay. Our bungalow was number 505 and was on the beach front literally a stones throw to the water edge. The sand is white and water clear just as you see in the photos. Things to bear in mind. Cleanliness was not as good as expected. Under and around our bungalow there were things left behind by previous guests a lot of rubbish, slippers, towels which had been forgotten. The bathroom and shower was outdated and felt old and we didn’t dare use the outside shower as that whole area looked dirty and stained from the wildlife. I had to ask the cleaner one day for a cloth to clean the table outside on the balcony as it was stained from beverages used by guests before us. The breakfast area really was quite gross. I didn’t feel like i was eating in a clean atmosphere. Really basic things like the table cloth on the breakfast bar were stained and tatty. The bar being quite open to the outside had stains from the fauna which seemed to flow in and out at their leisure. Staff were attentive however you never saw anyone cleaning when they weren’t doing anything. Its a pity as it would make the atmosphere much more pleasant. We did encounter some problems with the verandah door not opening and it was resolved immediately. The hotel took full charge of collecting us from our previous hotel in phuket taking us to the ferry port and the boat trip to the island for 1500 baht per person also the trip from the resort by boat to the next hotel in Krabi also for 1700 baht per person. This service is a real benefit because otherwise you have to take several boats and taxis and avoid all the hassle! Also another thing which was fabulous and my highlight of my entire trip to Thailand was the private long boat tour to ko phi phi leh. Not for the visit to Maya beach (however it was included) but for the swimming in the lagoon and snorkeling experience. That was worth every baht! You pay for the boat up to 4 ppl and its 2080 baht for 4 hours. Highly recommended!
The team were generally pretty good, there when you needed them but also out of your way when you were relaxing. We had the Deluxe suite Seaview and the room itself was great, clean and ready to go. Balcony view was nothing short of spectacular. The bathroom whilst useful had one of the worst patch jobs I have seen, not a tradie but I could have done a better patch of the bath. The other item on walking into the room was the sheer volume of rules which also backed up at the pool. Can only assume they have had some trouble with guests in the past but have noticed on Phi Phi everywhere likes lots of rules. The beach restaurant was immaculate and nothing like a meal on the sand with a view second to none. Short walk to all the activities on the island and have to recommend the massage on site.
We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel staff were all amazing and very helpful. They collected us from the pier with our bags and carried them directly to the room, and the same leaving the island. The hotel is all individual tree top cabins. This can be a hike/long walk up a hill to the room depending on which one you stay in. The hotel is located on the beach with a private beach which is lovely. You can walk across the beach for 3 minutes to the main path around Phi Phi. 5 minute walk from the hotel to restaurants/shops. Taking 15 minutes to walk to the pier. Or you can get a tail boat taxi directly from the hotel beach to take you around the island or day trips. The hotel’s breakfast was 5/10. The average buffet style breakfast. The pool bar doesn’t exist when we were there and doesn’t look like it has been open in a long time. The rooms were cleaned everyday. I would not recommend the hotel for young children or people with reduced mobility.
訪訪客My partner and myself spent a few nights on the island at one of the small cottages. Perfect for couples and those having a short stay on the island. They are located about a 10 minute walk from the main area of bars and restaurants, however, at night walking back, its always a peaceful, enjoyable trip from the views. The cottages provide the exact facilities required and were sweet and cosy. Central enough to all the action and has the most gorgeous views!
訪訪客Me and my family stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and based on other reviews, we were fortunate enough to receive rooms that were on the cleaner side. However, the rooms were still a bit rundown, especially the bathrooms. The location was beautiful and quiet, and is great if you want a more relaxed atmosphere, away from the booming nightlife. However, the most memorable part (in a bad way) of this trip will be the older European couple who will appear like they are the owners of this resort. DO NOT LET THEM FOOL YOU. They are extremely rude to the staff, and any guests who are not “farangs” (westerners), and will patrol and stare at everyone from 7am till around 9pm through the breakfast area, the pool area, and the beach. If they did not see you check in, they will follow you to your room, and ask you whether you’re from the hotel and continue to question you as to what time you checked in and why they haven’t seen you yet. They also collect money from guests who are not from the hotel and sit on the hotel’s sunbeds, which is fair. However, they are not employed by the hotel at all and it is questionable as to what they do with the money they collect from these sunbeds. We are not the only guests to experience their rudeness (I am half German and half Thai and came with my Thai family), but other families have also expressed discomfort and irritation at the hands of this couple. So much so, that quite a few of the guests have also asked the staff about whether this couple are really the owners. If the owner or management of this resort happens to see this review, I would strongly suggest asking this couple to take a step back and to allow other guests to enjoy their time at the resort. I also recommend any guests who are confronted by them, to ask them to back off. Beyond that, the staff were lovely but seemed a little confused. Although I suspect that their confusion comes from being ordered around by this couple who are guests, but pretend to be owners.
訪訪客We booked our trip a while ago and the reviews seemed great. The closer our trip got the reviews seemed to worsen. But we were unable to change/cancel due to the rate we booked. On arrival we were welcomed by staff and given a cold bottle of water and cold flannel and handed a big list of do’s and don’ts whilst at the hotel. Including leaving your hotel key with reception when leaving the hotel meaning your AC didn’t work whilst out and about. Coming back to an extremely hot uncomfortable room. The hotel is right next to the mosque on the island and the tannoy goes of several times a day to announce prayer including around 5:30am. Very loud. But this can’t be helped, we should have thought about this whilst booking the hotel. Walls are paper thin. We were fortunate enough to between two friends so it was only our noise we could hear but I imagine if this was a stranger it would become annoying, to the point we could hear each others conversations through the walls. We paid for the swim up bungalow villas which apparently are the best rooms available at this hotel. They were filthy (see attached photos) and need of a deep clean and some serious TLC! Also whilst showering there is a terrible foist smell from the drains. And the water pressure is low, again could be down to location. The beds were like sleeping the floor they were that hard, but apparently these are how beds are in Thailand. But the beds have been excellent on the mainland at other stays. Unable to sleep. Little interaction with hotel staff other than check in but whilst writing this review a staff member walked past our room, and spat on the ground! The pool also is in need of some TLC and a full regrout. Be careful where you’re walking as some bits are sharp and appears to be full of grit/sand on the floor. The island itself is stunning but the hotel is lacking for the cost. This is a mid-range budget hotel for the island so would expect a much higher standard. Wouldn’t return to this hotel.
訪訪客Judging by the pictures on Google Maps there is a wide range of rooms available. Some clearly much better than others. Ju Soh ( I hope I've got that right. She was the elegant lady with the light grey head scarf), booked us in and we mainly dealt with her during our stay and she was excellent. She booked us in efficiently, made sure everything was in order and helped us with advice during our visit. She arranged our transit from Phi Phi to Koh Samui when we left which went smoothly. Our room was at the rear of the main building in what, I would politely describe as, a recent addition. Possibly constructed by apprentice builders who need a new bubble in their spirit level and they've not noticed that the end has snapped off their tape measure. 🤦🏻♂️ Nothing is straight and nothing fits. It was accessed via an abstract series of uneven steps surfaced in green bathroom tiles then a wooden staircase which leant forward as they hadn't put it in at the correct angle. This led to our landing which had the rooms to the right and more stairs up to yet another level. Our room had a double bed missing a leg on the right side, if standing facing the top of the bed, so that the frame banged every time you rolled over. The top left corner had a tile under that leg. There was damage to the plastic bathroom door that had clearly been salvaged from elsewhere as it was much smaller than the doorway with the old screw holes clearly visible and the door latch that didn't line up with the original retainer The bathroom sink had no water pressure so you had to use the shower head. The shower had decent pressure and drained to the drain in the bottom left corner. The toilet served it's purpose. We put some water in empty water bottles to give them some weight and used these to plug the floor and sink drain when not in use to stop the mozzies coming up through the drains, as suggested in reviews we had seen. They do not use U bend water traps on their plumbing hence when there's no water flowing it's an open route for bugs in to the room. We found a leech on the floor one time as we had forgotten to put the bottle back. The walls are cardboard thin so we could hear our neighbours whenever they came, left or moved about. The aircon worked well, a blessing. The establishment's location is great. It's a 12 minute walk through town from the port and is about 100m from the edge of the main town. It is about 40m after the start of the steps up to the viewpoint. Most places outside town involve climbing up the hills that surround the town. This place didn't As there are only a very few vehicles on the island you walk every where. A man with a trolley met us at the port and took our bags as we walked behind through the maze of narrow streets in the town. That was a blessing as it would have been a nightmare to navigate and manage our luggage in the mid afternoon heat and crowds. Well worth the 100bht.
