My wife and I just returned from an overnight stay at Los Altos Hotel &Spa celebrating our anniversary. Mary and the staff were excellent hosts. The room was nice, the meals outstanding, and Gracie in the Spa was fantastic. I can’t forget the sunset. We live in the area and this secluded paradise is a perfect escape for a special night or stay when traveling in the area. I look forward to returning soon.

I had the BEST stay at Los Altos de Eros Boutique Hotel! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The property is incredibly cozy, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by the kind of beauty that makes you never want to leave. The staff was absolutely phenomenal—I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about them. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. A special shout-out to Enrique, Carolina, and Mary. Thank you for going above and beyond to make my stay so memorable. Each of you played a part in creating an exceptional experience, and I am so grateful. THANK YOU! The food was outstanding! Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with love. The chef is incredibly talented and obviously passionate about what he does. One of my favorite touches was the family-style dining experience, which gave guests the opportunity to connect, share stories, and enjoy great company along with amazing food. The hotel’s yoga space is absolutely breathtaking. I also had the pleasure of practicing with local yoga instructor Hali Love, who was fantastic. If you're visiting Costa Rica and enjoy yoga, do yourself a favor and book a session with Hali—you won’t regret it! The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for relaxation. If I could make just one suggestion, as a solo female traveler, I would recommend adding a lock to the outdoor shower area for a bit of extra peace of mind. Other than that, I honestly wouldn’t change a thing. Los Altos de Eros exceeded every expectation and created memories I’ll never forget. I can’t wait to come back! 🌴✨❤️

This spa and boutique was magical!! The pool, the kitchen staff with all the delicious, healthy food, the spa, my room---all of it was just pure magic. The staff here are so accommodating and lovely. I will definitely be returning with my spouse. You don't want to miss out on this experience!

I found this place online the pickup was perfect from my hotel and the spa was beautiful 😍 A lot of places in rainforest here not clean but this place was impeccable, just like pictures, environment was safe and relaxing! The lunch was even very good 😍 I was very impressed and would recommend 5 stars ⭐️

I’ve been to many spas and this was one of the best spa experiences, especially for the price. The spa itself was clean and beautiful and the natural outdoor setting just made it so easy to relax. The staff was very friendly and all of my treatments were top notch, especially the massage. My group of girlfriends finished our experience with lunch and dessert at the spa. If I come back to Costa Rica, I will definitely be coming back here.

My wife and I live in the Tamarindo area and have the great blessing of being able to escape to Los Altos de Eros whenever we need a break. The service is always amazing, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is calming and recharging, and the spa services can't be beat.

B&B style hotel. Dinner served family style but we were comfortable talking to other guest but also spaced to have our own private conversation. Mother Nature finest: hummingbirds, other birds, monkeys, sunsets, night sky lit with stars, etc. Excellent housekeeping and front desk attendants. We are return guests who intentionally booked LADE at the end of a 10 night vacation for the spa, comfort, outdoor showers. It’s important to know what you getting upfront. It’s ~30 minute bumpy ride from Tamarindo (shuttle 60+tax round trip or complimentary if a certain class room is booked). The pool room works bc we love the outdoor shower. There’s a closer beach to check out. Meals: 3/5 The dinners are well prepared and tasty. LADE expanded its menu options since our first visit. The options are not to our liking, we don’t eat any or much beef or pork, and prefer local seafood (fish, shrimp, lobster, etc). Breakfast on our previous trip had more variety. The coffee and morning smoothies are still great. Several guest were there and they said, they never had a bad meal there. So it’s great you can escape and eat all meals onsite or travel out. We ventured out for dinner 2 nights and ate in 2 nights. The shrimp cocktail was the best shrimp I had during our 10 day vaca. I could have eaten 2 of them. Disappointed LADE took the patacones off the menu. Wish the chicken curry is added to the lunch menu. Spa: 5/5 Absolutely amazing, book your services in advance or day of arrival because it’s a popular spa destination. Complete zen. I almost cried when I saw the soaking tub experience. My skin was baby soft for days. My face was cleansed and radiant. There’s a discount for those staying at the hotel. One couple did a spa service every day. If I had this spa in the USA, I would go monthly. Spa services: curry chicken lunch, facial, soaking tub, scrub, wrap Next time in Costa Rica we will stay for at least 5 nights and book the spa. We enjoy this hotel and it’s a great option to end a trip after lots of travel or excursions. To do: spa, bird watching, trail, small exercise area, yoga area (can hire a teacher), pool, good WiFi, Insta worthy photo ops, offsite excursions.

This is my 11th time hosting a group at the beautiful Los Alto De Eros. 11th time falling in love with the staff, the food, the vibe! I cannot say enough about the managers- Enrique and Ari and the new girls Mary and Carolina! The kitchen staff is amazing (yay, Javier) and the spa staff and housekeeping and drivers as well! I will be back next February and cannot wait!

What can I say? I guess I'll just add to the list of glowing reviews. Everything about the stay was perfection. The room, the pool, the meals, the physical setting of the property and the absolutely delightful staff. To top it off, it's downright reasonably priced for a place of this caliber. This was my second time here and my wife and I can't wait to return.

We had an amazing experience! LADE ooozes with quiet, understated charm and comfort. The staff is remarkable. Management Team: Ari and Carolina; Drivers: Gustavo and Greivin; Chef: Javier; the housekeeping staff... all friendly professionals. Our spa day was magnificent. Yoga with Hali was transformative. The monkeys were sublime...

Beautiful experience to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday. Everyone was so kind and took great care of us. Carolina and Julia were amazing. Everything is so clean, the food is fresh and yummy, the views are amazing. Thank you to everyone who made this special.

All we can say is wow! We knew that this would be luxury but LADE was beyond our expectations. It was private, personal, and truly one of a kind. We spend 7 nights at Los Altos De Eros for our honeymoon and had the most amazing time. The staff was so incredible. They were personable, kind, and cared so much for us and our experience. We chose to spend most of our time at the resort, instead of in town for so many reasons. 1st off - the view and the location. You are able to look out into the distance of jungle and still see the ocean. It’s some of the most gorgeous views we’ve ever had from a hotel room. And the sunsets were beyond! 2nd, the vibe!!!! LEAD has some of the best food and experiences at their property. The hotel only has 6 rooms, so everything is PERSONAL. They want to cater to you and your needs! They set us up in the most amazing room, with accommodations such as; amazing food made daily from scratch, breakfast in bed (everyday had something new and delicious), the cleanest and most gorgeous pool we’ve ever swam in. 3rd- THE SPA!!! The spa is the most phenomenal and LUX experience you could have in Tamarindo. We went 2 days in a row. An all around amazing experience, extremely romantic, personal, safe, fun, and beautiful. We want to mention how phenomenal the staff were as well - Enrique, the resort manager took care of us like family. Drove us around Tamarindo, gave us recommendations on food and places to enjoy. Ari and Caro, at the front of house were friendly and so incredibly accommodating. The chef, spa, and housekeeping took the experience to the next level. We will be back!

This hotel is breathtakingly beautiful. The staff is very friendly, and go out of your way to make sure you have what you need, and feel right at home. The food is magnificent, and healthy!! I loved working out in the open air gym every morning, overlooking the mountain side all the way to the pacific ocean. Thank all of the staff for the hospitality, and trip of a lifetime.

This review is long overdue, but it has taken me several months to fully process just how life-changing my stay at LADE was. We rented out the entire villa for 4 nights in January 2025 to host our wedding with our closest family and friends. YES — the food, the staff, the rooms, the spa, the cleanliness — everything was truly five stars and beyond. It was, without a doubt, the nicest place I have ever stayed. But the real reason our wedding felt so magical is because of one person: Julia, the owner. I spent months searching for the perfect destination wedding venue, but the moment I met Julia, I knew this was it. The saying "when you know, you know" doesn't just apply to love! Starting almost a year before our wedding, Julia essentially became our wedding planner. She helped us with every vendor — the cake, DJ, photography, hair and makeup, florals, rentals — you name it. She handled every detail with intention, precision, and warmth. She made it a true "turn-key" wedding. Before I even had a chance to worry, Julia had a solution, and was always a text away on WhatsApp. She didn’t just help with the wedding day — she also coordinated our rehearsal dinner at a local beachside restaurant. She helped us find the venue, communicated with the restaurant, and arranged transportation for all our guests. Her care and attention extended far beyond what we could have imagined. The wedding day itself felt like a dream. The ceremony space overlooked a breathtaking view, surrounded by lush tropical flowers. Every detail was beautifully set up, creating an intimate and emotional atmosphere that supported our small guest list and made everything feel centered around love and connection. Not one thing went wrong. Truly — not one. But what really sets Julia apart is her presence. Throughout the weekend, she wasn’t just "on duty" because she owns the villa — she was present because she genuinely cared. She helped me put together welcome bags on the first night (even helping gather supplies from town). She sat with me during my hair and makeup trial, just to chat. And she was even included in a few photos from the night — because it felt natural. She had become a meaningful part of our celebration. I wasn’t the only one who felt that way. Every single guest commented on how amazing she was — attentive, calm, warm, and truly invested in our celebration. I also have to shout out the kitchen staff — every meal was delicious and beautifully presented. They handled multiple dietary restrictions with ease and even prepared a traditional Romanian dessert for our wedding night, which meant so much to us. If you are thinking about staying at LADE — for a wedding, vacation, or any special event — just know that you will be in the best of hands. We will cherish this experience forever.
