安多宮殿旅館(The Atholl Palace)

Bel hôtel mais très vieillissant. Le personnel de la réception est très désagréable.

Overall a nice hotel with a good atmosphere and stunning gardens and views. Staircases can be better indicated and another lift would be useful. Breakfast a bit disappointing.

Quite a tired old hotel

We walked from the train station, could not get a cab or a ride from the Hotel. Cabs in this town should be prebooked. Quite a walk luckily we travel light. We wanted to get transportation via cab, bus, private driver to Blair Atholl castle but the very nice front desk gentleman couldnt help us at all. Basically, sorry, good luck, maybe someone in town can help. The Hotel itself is very dated in decor. We visited the museum in the basement and after reading the storied history and financial difficulties this Hotel has had it made sense. The museum was interesting but not well kept and we felt as if no one from the Hotel straightens, swept floors or dusted down there. Our room was clean enough but such a hodgepodge of decor. Large tour buses full of guests keep this place afloat. The grand exterior does not reflect the inside or service you'd expect. We enjoyed walking through the town, across the suspended bridge, and having a drink on the gorgeous river near the fish ladder. The gentlemen at the train station was the most helpful person and we were able to have a lovely visit at Blair Atholl the following day on our way to Inverness.

We arrived at 1pm and check in wasn’t til 3pm. They stored our bags for us but didn’t offer anything further. The building and the grounds are beautiful, although the decor could use an upgrade. It’s very old fashioned and a little tired looking. There’s a lovely swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room. The sauna was closed and the spa was also closed (it was Monday). The food was ok but lacked some imagination. It’s pretty much what you’d get served in a gastro pub. I was expecting a little more from a hotel that’s charging £190 per night for a room.

Fantastic hotel, bright and airy and very welcoming staff. Conveniently located near the centre of Pitlochry. The quality of food and standard of catering in the restaurant was outstanding, and offered ample delicious vegetarian options. There is also fantastic spa and swimming pool facilities. Difficult to fault this hotel.
