匹茲堡北岸Residence Inn酒店(Residence Inn Pittsburgh North Shore)

I had to cancel my hotel about a week in advance due to a sudden change in plans. (Things I could not help) they refused to refund me my deposit even though I wasn’t even in the same city that weekend.

Great cost-effective hotel in the North Shore. It is conveniently located near restaurants and the stadium. 

Amazing amenities. Full kitchen. Very clean!

Room service was supposed to be every other night, but my room wasn't cleaned and in room coffee supplies weren't replaced during my 4-day stay. They were out of waffle batter, which upset my granddaughters, and items like coffee and muffins weren't restocked in a timely manner on the breakfast buffet.

Check-in staff was great until I was told that to park my car in your lot that it would cost me $27 a night! (3 nights) She told me it is on the web site. I was not happy with that. The room 414 was very nice. I was also very disappointed that they closed the pool Saturday. My son and I were looking forward to relaxing there after going to some exhibits.

I must admit that the bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was good except the light was out. Everything else was satisfactory.

Good: 1) Location - near Pirates/1/4 mile from Steelers 2) Parking - perfect for steelers/pirates, free in/out. 3) Clean/new 4) Nice sized rooms 5) Amazingly quiet, given highway is 150 feet from window, and it was a Steelers weekend. Bad: 1) Overworked staff - can never get any attention 2) Surprise parking fee after stay - its ok on fee, but tell me, right? probably because they were understaffed/overwhelmed. 3) No bedding on fold out couch (why not?) Awful: NO HOT WATER entire weekend. No notice, no apolgies. Just "It's the entire building. We are looking into it." 48 hour later, I went home showerless. NO consideration for this inconvenience. No reduced/free stay, no notice of sincere apologies, nothing. Felt like

We stayed 6 nights, not once during that time the room was cleaned or refresh, we had to ask on front desk for clean towels, sheets, toilet paper, trash bags and kleenex and did the "refresh" ourselves. We do ask for the refresh after 3 nights, and ask if the cleaning was included and they said "yes, every two days", so they said they were sorry housekeeping hasn't clean the room an supposedly asked for it to be done but it simply didn't happen. So we did it ourselves, they said we can take the dirty towels and trash out to the hall and they'll take care of it... it was there sitting for 3 days, even though we saw the housekeeping cart several times in the hall (cleaning other rooms).

Unfortunately, the hotel had a failure in their hot water boiler so we didn't have hot water the entire stay. The staff was very apologetic though.
