The room was spacious and exceptionally clean. The views of PNC were amazing and the hotel was within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The hotel staff were very helpful in giving directions and making suggestions for dining and entertainment. By far this is the best hotel we have stayed at in Pittsburgh!.

We received horrible and subpar service in a few areas: 1 We arrived to the valet area and were addressed with a door opening, but no one took our bags from the trunk or offered a luggage cart. 2 We arrived to a clean room BUT had no ice bucket or refrigerator. We asked the front desk and they confirmed arrival of both, but one never arrived, even after a few hours. 3 On chris**as eve, we requested room service, but returned to find a made up bed, neatly arranged our personal toiletries BUT they didnt replace clean glasses, bottled water at all, dirty bathroom floor, and no coffee kcups either. We received excellent areas in the following areas: 1 Front desk service on Steelers Saturday morning (young lady providing business office help was a Godsend 2. Valet service on leaving chris**as day. I liked the location for seeing family in Pgh and especially the Steelers game, but I may consider another hotel if this email is not addressed seriously or not at all. I think this hotel has potential: beauty, location, name amd prestige, gym, spa, and bar HOWEVER there are other options. I would love to return if this feedback can somehow be used to improve the hotel service SO others do not have to experience this subpar quality.

Very nice accommodations, staff was cery friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, nice views. Close walking to shops and restaurants. Very festive for the holidays. Valet team was great and helpful with directions, prompt with our vehicle and super friendly. Front desk ladies were also very helpful and nice. Will definitely stay here again.

1. Hotel is veery old 2. Elevators are limited and super slow. On Sunday November 12 at 11:00am there was only ONE operational elevator and I had to walk down the stairs 22 flights 3. The operator and guest service extensions NEVER answer. It's unacceptable for a supposedly "luxury" hotel. 4. Apple Pay is not received! I feel I should be compensated for the bad experience.

Definitely not a 5-star experience. We arrived to check in at 5:30pm and our room was still not ready (check-in is at 3pm) The gentlemen at the desk was very nice, told us they would hold our bags and call when the room was ready. We were fine with it since we really had no plans. They told us we could head upstairs to a lounge for some snacks and beverages - this lounge was a board room with water bottles on the tables. They also told us they gave us a $50 credit for the restaurant upstairs so we decided to get dinner there once we were able to check in. We ended up checking in at 6:30pm (3.5 hours after check in time) We made a reservation at the restaurant Fl.2 for 8:15pm. We arrived there at 8:05pm and were told that "our table was ready but they wanted to make sure they stayed on time" so asked us if we would want to wait at the bar for a few minutes. We said sure, the bar was about 4 feet from the hostess's table. Bar tender took about 5 minutes to acknowledge us and we got a drink. 8:20pm rolls around, nothing. 8:25pm nothing. My husband and I decided to start looking elsewhere since the food was expensive and service clearly not ideal. 8:30pm rolls around and we've now been waiting there for 25 mintues. My husband starts getting a phone call and we realize it's the hostess calling us wondering where we are for our reservation. We were flabergasted and just left at that point. We were also never given the credit for the restaurant and will be calling. 0/10

A couple things I didn’t like… first off they gave us a double queen room when I book a 1 king bed room. When I went to let them know they said there were no more available… second thing I didn’t like is there are no refrigerators in the room… overall experience wasn’t what I thought it was gonna especially celebrating our anniversary

I’ve stayed at this property for years. I have stayed here at least 40 times and notice the property does not have the same feel as it did in the past. The rooms have not been updated for many years and amenities in the rooms have disappeared. The rooms are approximately $650-700 per night and they nickel and dime you by charging $15 for wi-fi?

loved everything about the property expect the internet bandwidth was very poor over 5 days. 10-15 mbps down for this level of hotel is unacceptable. Should have at least 60-80 even in the worst hidden corners of the property. They need to invest in that infrastructure. But i loved the stay otherwise.
