Room and bathroom were clean except for some spiders. The bed was comfortable. The room was a little stuffy and took awhile to cool with adjusting cooling unit.The musty smelling carpet was definately the worst part of stay.They were lacking help but the staff that was there was friendly. I like that there was free parking and a shuttle service.

Overall my stay at this property was excellent, there was free on site parking, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean and modern. The hotel itself is located in an area with plenty of restaurants nearby. On Friday and Saturday they offer a shuttle service that can take you to nearby restaurants, bars, and attractions, ultimately saving you money on rideshare options. The hotel offers a decent breakfast selection, perfect if you need something on the go in the morning. The only downside to the property is some of the low income housing nearby, which produced random people walking by one of the parking areas, I ended up bringing my personal items inside for the night. Overall I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. 4/5

Staying at the Priory was a great experience. The property is updated but retains its old character. Comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our "grab and go" breakfast in their beautiful courtyard. The neighborhood around the Priory is not as well maintained as the property itself, but previous reviews gave us this information. Secured parking is close by, and they had a bike rack inside the courtyard which we used. Ten minute drive to Phillips Conservatory and downtown restaurants. We would definitely stay again!

I like old historic buildings and this property fits the bill. All the modern conveniences and a nice complimentary breakfast that you can eat in your room, in the beautiful courtyard , or the inside dinning room. Quaint little bar but no restaurant. There are many good places to eat on the north shore. Service is excellent.

The Priory Hotel was a nice surprise. We didn't think so when we pulled up and saw a different clientele loitering on the streets. However, the Hotel manager assured us we were safe. And we were. It was just a bus stop. Our room was clean. Very quiet. We sat and talked in the court yard in the evening and it was a great atmosphere. It's only a bridge away from all that is happening in Pittsburgh. One of the best parts was their shuttle service. Pittsburgh is not an easy city to navigate, so having a shuttle service was super convenient. Overall I would recommend the Priory Hotel if you are staying in Pittsburgh.

Hotel itself was great- clean, convenient for what we intended to do in town, and generally quiet. I think the constantly running fan in the room acted as a noise machine so that there wasn’t highway noise apparent during our weekend stay. Cute courtyard and bar. The historic neighborhood was interesting, yet as in any city, the homelessness (the Priory cannot be responsible for this) factor made walking around something that felt like needed to be done with caution. The hotel and parking lot is secure however and we had zero issues. If you are planning to Uber door to door during your stay -HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!

The only thing more amazing than the friendly staff would be the magnificent architecture of the building. I would've stayed much longer than 2 days, if I could. History abounds in every corner of this gorgeous place. The garden area and Gallery are beautiful. Monks bar is so quaint and has the nicest bartender, Maureen. Breakfast to go was packed up with care. And, the rooms were spotless, spacious and splendidly comfortable. Definitely will return!

We enjoyed everything about this hotel! Staff is friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and kept our room clean and supplied. Bar in hotel is nice and cozy. Very friendly bartender willing to please everyone. Location is great and easy to get to. Parking is easy. It is not easy to get large luggage up the steps to the hotel but it's worth the tug once you get inside. Breakfast was great with a variety of in room or on the go options.

Pros: Beautiful old but well-kept boutique historic hotel. Fantastic bar - you can enjoy your drinks on the charming outdoor patio. Nice clean comfortable rooms. Near good restaurants. Helpful staff. Cons: Unsafe neighborhood (we almost drove away without staying). Felt scary walking to restaurants. Terrible wifi.
