I stayed at this hotel on May 9 with my wife and four young children. Here is a recap of our experience: Ants: When we first arrived and settled to eat dinner, we noticed a few ants on the dining table. We didn't make much of it and just wiped them away. However, around bedtime for the kids, we noticed a trail of ants going from the window (of our fourth floor room) to the dining table across the room! We had to call the front desk, who sent someone to clean up the ants and lay down barriers around the window. The guy who stopped by was very pleasant. To our frustration, this situation excited the kids who are normally down by 8pm; they didn't finally go to sleep until 10 or 11. Food in sofa: When pulling out the sofa bed, we noticed food! It appears that a prior guest at food on the couch and the couch was never properly cleaned. Breakfast: Instead of freshly made waffles, the waffles looked like frozen waffles. Service: Our initial impression of the service was positive because of the gentleman who stopped by to clean up the ants. The following morning, we stopped by to explain the situation and ask for Hilton to compensate us. They initially offered 10,000 points. After I reminded them of our kids losing sleep because of this, they bumped it to 20,000 points (For those of you who don't know, Hilton points are typically worth about .5 to .6%, so 20,000 points is about $100 to $120 dollars). I dropped my service score because I was in touch with a Front Desk Supervisor via email who seemed to confuse me with someone else and was dismissive of our concerns. We asked for a free night instead of a refund so we can give Hilton another chance. I waited several days to give the hotel a chance to make this right. I never received a free night or the 20,000 points...
