We stayed 3d/2n on the 3rd floor in a King Suite. The room was clean and the furniture wasn't soiled. The bathroom was average HIE size. The only issue was the shower. It was a walk in shower which is fine BUT it had a shower curtain that was 12" too short so water splashed out. We even tried pointing the water more towards the back corner of the wall but that didn't help. So, we cleaned it afterwards with our bath towel and floor mat. They were both quite wet. We would request a room with glass enclosure or a tub/shower for the next visit. It is in a good spot along the George Bush Parkway in a good area. The breakfast was as expected from a HIE.

From the moment of arrival the front desk staff, management, and facilities personnel were 100% professional! The rooms were clean and furniture well taken care of. All of the amenities were well maintained and in use. Anytime I ha a question about my stay, the staff answered professionally and were very helpful. The breakfast service was well maintained and well stocked.

I give this location and it’s staff a 15/10 on our experience during this visit. I was a little apprehensive after booking this location because of some reviews I read… all I can say is I don’t we stayed at the same hotel (shrugging shoulders). We engaged with day staff & evening staff and both were extremely kind, warm, helpful, etc. They were all very excited to listen to my daughter tell her little stories about her birthday weekend. The breakfast area was busy but clean & well stocked. Their pancake machine also was fully functioning unlike several other Holiday Inn Express locations we have been to recently (my daughter looks forward to those pancakes haha). Also our room was on the first floor facing the highway and we had extremely minimal highway noise. I mention this because others complained about the road noise and not being able to sleep. Also our room and bathroom were well stocked with towels, soaps, etc and everything was very clean. We stayed in a “standard king room”. The bed, pillows and linens were perfect and we all got great sleep on the trip which was necessary as we had an action packed weekend. I wish every Holiday Inn Express we visited was exactly like this one! Your attention to detail was very much appreciated.

Rude and unaccommodating staff from the front desk to the management team. I was the parent volunteer for a team event coordinating for our group. Working with the management team was difficult. Simple questions were consistently met with rude responses. All I wanted to do was make sure our whole group was satisfied since I was booking for everyone. At the hotel, requests for towels or an even receipt went without accommodation entirely or extended wait times.

Pretty typical HI Express. Stay on opposite side from the freeway if you have a choice. Loud traffic noise at night. Also, terribly slow elevators, so get a lower floor if possible unless you like waiting.

Stayed one evening while running a race in Murphy. Navigating from the highway was a little clunky but it was a convenient location. The staff was nice and offered ideas on where to eat. The room was clean and quiet. Everything was in good working order. The only con was that the shower had low water pressure.

"Jenna" saved the day & made a bad experience into a laugh fest. The hotel for the most part is a great place to stay. From a good breakfast to really clean rooms. The downside is the pool was freezing and when I tried to get help from the 2nd shift, I was given a smart response. The reason I picked this hotel was the heated pool. So, after a couple of escalating exchanges with the rude African American ** Supervisor, I was told. Jenna came in and although she couldn't heat the pool she handled the situation with professional expertise and even some comedy that caught me off, guard. So, a personal thanks for taking care of a problem that really wasn't yours. I will be back again thanks to you Ihg retained a guest.

Make sure you have a room that does not face the highway! The rooms facing the highway get hot, smelly and they are soooo noisy! We stayed 3 nights and after the first night of literally no sleep because of the highway noise.. we asked to change rooms. We changed rooms and it was so much better, the rooms were clean but for some reason both rooms we had after one night had a strange mildew smell the extractor fans in the bath rooms didn’t seem to be that great. The automatic blind didnt work in the second room so we were in the dark for 2 days, ended up having to roll it up manually and placing it on the the shelf above the window, which disturbed a lot of dust. The breakfast was an excellent selection just wish they ran it later than 9:30am The pool was inside and out of order the whole stay. The maintenance man was absolutely lovely! He made us feel so welcome and spoke to us every time we saw him. He’s a real asset to the hotel.

This hotel has TERRIBLE customer service. I called the hotel’s direct number 6 times in two days trying to give the hotel my IHG rewards member number for my reservation and to request a room with a bathtub. The first 3 times, the phone was answered by a male employee who immediately placed my call on hold and never returned to the phone, despite me waiting 5-10 minutes each time. I called again 3 times on the next day. Two of those calls were never answered. The third call went to voice mail, and I left a detailed message including my confirmation number. When I arrived at the hotel many hours later, it was clear that no one bothered to listen to the voice message I left, as my rewards number was not listed on my account and there were no rooms with a bathtub available. I chose this hotel because of the bathtub option since I have a bad back and a hot soak relieves the pain caused by traveling all day. After my arrival, a relative attempted to contact me at the hotel and that call -made to notify me of a health emergency- was also not answered. It should be noted that I requested to speak with the manager on duty but - no surprise - the manager did not make himself available. The hotel itself is just ok, being surrounded by industrial buildings and with no restaurants nearby. The hotel pool area was unpleasantly hot and therefore basically unusable. The hotel reeks of the chlorine smell from the pool. The Holiday Inn and Suites is one in a row of 4 similar hotels. I would choose any of the others rather than staying at the Hilton Inn.

It's the little things that make a nice visit unpleasant. This hotel is fairly new and we found it very clean, including the common areas and the exercise room. However when we went to check out the pool, the water was so clouded you could not see the bottom of the pool. Our grandchild was very disappointed when we said we would not be swimming at this hotel, and I was disappointed that the inattention to the pool made this otherwise good hotel a poor choice. Clean pools seem to be difficult for Holiday Inns and one more experience like this can cause me to switch hotel chains. Note to hotel staff: If the room is booked for four guests, then why not stock four towels/washcloths/coffee cups/coffee pods, etc? Its the attention to detail that makes guests want to return or continue to patronize the brand.

When we checked in we barely got an acknowledgment. The manager seemed to be having a bad day. The ONLY reason I booked here was because I was told over the phone that it had a heated pool. I wish I would have read the reviews here first. The pool was not heated and ice cold, my grandson is autistic and when you tell him something you have to follow through or risk a melt down. Lesson learned. That evening I found ants in our bathroom. They were ONLY in the bathroom. I told the manager about them and she did offer to move us but I am using a walker and I didn’t want to risk moving to a new room just to have more bugs. Every one I encountered here answered questions with a huff or eye roll. Check out was at 11am but the cleaning lady was pounding on our door at 9 to clean the room. What a way to wake up. I will never go back, there are other hotels and I will pay more to stay. Holiday inn used to be a nice place, but not this one. There is a lot of traffic noise as well. The manager didn’t seem concerned or bothered by my issues.

We came for my college graduation and searched for hours to find an available hotel room with an indoor heated pool for our kids. We were delighted to find this property because it was highly rated and recommended by other customers. Having been very excited to book our stay months in advance, we were severely disappointed when we stayed. GOOD NOTES: Rooms were clean, spacious and very nice looking. THE DISSATISFACTION: ** The ONLY and ENTIRE reason for selecting this hotel over ALL others that were closer to the commencement ceremony was for the property’s listing of an indoor HEATED pool. ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE!!!! The pool was ICE Cold and our kids could not bear the temperature without suffering hyperthermia if had been exposed to this environment. When asking the night shift manager on-site about turning on the heat; we were told they don’t have a heater and “they don’t have control over what the property website has listed”. * The “hot breakfast” consisted of watery eggs, burnt sausage and day old Cinnabons. We were told that “bacon” was served on a rotation basis during the weekend and met with disdain and attitude from staff when asked to refill the orange juice and coffee creamer. * When asking the night staff for extra towels, we were told “that’s all we have right now”, very dismissively with no expected timeline or reasoning. We were offered reward points for our dissatisfaction of having driven over 6 hours to this location for a 2 night stay with an indoor “heated pool” that is not actually heated. This did nothing for the expressions we were met with; having to explain to the kids why they would not be able to swim after looking forward to it all week. I have been an IGH hotel group rewards member for many years and have always relied on accurate property amenity listings when selecting and booking our stays. We are never disappointed when doing so and to have this experience is very disheartening. Please update this ASAP to avoid others having the same negative experience. When Speaking to others staying that weekend with kids, we found they felt the same. They felt that voicing their concerns were falling on deaf ears and not worth mentioning due to lack of resolution or financial compensation.
