Well positioned B&B right on the Hoe and walking distance from centre of town and Barbican. Room was very comfortable and nice and clean, and the breakfast was very nice (although coffee was a bit on the average side). Perhaps because we might have been the only people there, but it was very hands-off experience and heating was only on for a short-while. Nothing really to complain about, pretty decent all things considered, just a little lacking.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay here. We communicated before our visit via email with Jenny and agreed we would let her know what time we expected to arrive as we were travelling from the Isle of Wight. We were greeted in person by Jenny who was wonderfully welcoming, immediately helping us organise parking. She was so thorough with information regarding where to eat, where the nearest shops where, places to go with the children. The room was spacious and clean, as was the entire property, the breakfasts that we ordered and were made each morning by Lee were absolutely delicious and my 8 year old was delighted by the freshly made apple juice each morning. We honestly felt like nothing was too much to ask for throughout our stay. Jenny and Lee you are doing a wonderful job and really made our place to stay a welcoming and comfortable spot. Thank you so much! We would 100% stay again on our next visit.

The photos on line are obviously from the old ownership. New ownership has a much different aesthetic with cheap plastic mismatched tablecloths, messy, dusty knickknacks, dusty fake flowers, half used roll of toilet paper on the landing, spilled potting soil and dirt all over the small landing. Nice couple that tries hard but has no real idea about how to manage a property for guests. It's like staying in someones messy family home. The smell in the property is awful, the cleanliness needs to be greatly improved. If you are looking for the quaint British Inn experience, this is not it. Photos are old and have no relevance to what the main areas of the place look like now. Clock in the room didn't work, paint drips were all over the mirror, I could go on and on..... avoid. wifi was complicated and didn't work well... It actually was an expensive stay for what it was.

This is a family home, run by a very friendly couple who have obviously put a lot of effort into making their guests stay comfortable. Room was comfy and well equipped, shower was awesome, good view over the bay. Breakfast was nice. I’d stay again.

Sea breezes is exactly, that a gentle refreshing feel of calmness. Jenny and her husband work tirelessly and tremendously hard to ensure their guests have a pleasurable, tailored, rest. The breakfast options were uncompromisingly varied and tasted delicious, all of which was received after a long restful nights sleep. The cleanliness of the room and indeed throughout the guest house did not go unnoticed. We will return to Plymouth and will look forward to another stay at Sea Breezes.

When I came to review Sea Breezes, I was shocked to see it rated at 5 star. That was far from my experience. Firstly, there was no proper welcome. We had to call a mobile to ask the owners to let us in. When we were let in, the owner aggressively waved us into the breakfast area. It was dominated by a huge fish tank with three fish glumly swimming around. Decoré included glass dragons filled with some liquid or other. Neither the hall or the breakfast room had been hoovered recently. You have to choose breakfast from an itemised checklist the evening before. The bedroom was not tastefully decorated (obviously a matter of opinion) but table lamps with giraffes heads poking out was a bit odd. On first night there was a very strong air freshener which was clearly covering a “catty” smell. Bathroom: not particularly clean with a poor quality in-bath shower. Breakfast was not great. Floor also hadn’t been cleaned, with food debris on it. Positives: Sea Breezes is in a good location near the Hoe with sea views towards the left front.
